Vellore Institute of Technology is conducting the VITEEE 2026 exam from April 28 to May 3, 2026 , in multiple slots. The entrance exam is scheduled in two shifts: Shift 1 (morning) from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, and Shift 2 (afternoon) from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM. Reportedly, over 2.5 lakh students are appearing for VITEEE 2026 to secure an engineering seat at VIT campuses across Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal or Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh).

Since VITEEE is conducted online as a computer-based test (CBT), students will not have access to any physical copy of the VITEEE question paper 2026. However, there’s no need to worry, as we will provide day-wise VITEEE questions with answer key and difficulty trends for Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry subjects, based on memory-based recalls from students. By going through VITEEE question paper 2026 and unofficial answer key, you can verify your answers, evaluate your performance, and calculate projected scores ahead of the results!

Is the VITEEE 2026 question paper the same for all slots?

Many of you often wonder if VITEEE question paper 2026 remains identical across all slots. The honest answer is ‘No’. The conducting body, VIT, prepares multiple sets of question papers to uphold exam integrity. Some topics may seem repetitive or the questions may be aligned with similar concepts but they are never identical or the exact same.

Furthermore, VIT uses a standard normalization process to ensure fairness among students who may have received a slightly difficult question set. This helps to balance exam scores across multiple shifts and ensures fair ranking.

What are the high-weightage topics to study for the remaining VITEEE 2026 exam shifts?

Students taking the VITEEE exam 2026 between April 28 and May 3 should focus on these high-weightage topics to score good marks.

Subject

High-weightage Topics to Focus

Quick Tips

Physics

  • Electrostatics & Current Electricity (12-15%)

  • Modern Physics (10-12%)

  • Optics (8-10%)

  • Mechanics (8-10%)

  • Focus on formula-based applications and direct conceptual questions from NCERT textbooks, especially in Modern Physics and Semiconductors.
  • Practice quick numerical calculations to save time

Chemistry

  • Reactions & Mechanisms (18-20%)

  • Coordination Compounds & p-Block Elements (10-12%)

  • Thermodynamics & Chemical Kinetics (8-10%)

  • Atomic Structure (5-7%)

  • Practice reactions and tables from NCERT textbooks to ace direct questions in Inorganic and Organic Chemistry sections.

Mathematics

  • Differential & Integral (15-18%)

  • Vector Algebra & 3D Geometry (12-14%)

  • Matrices & Determinants (10-12%)

  • Probability & Statistics (8-10%)

  • Prioritize speed over lengthy derivations.

  • Memorize standard results for integrals and conic sections to save time.

While taking the VITEEE 2026 exam, remember that the paper is time-bound, so don’t spend more than 20-30 minutes on each section. Keep enough time in hand for the Mathematics section as it is often the trickiest and most time-consuming. Since VIT has implemented the negative marking scheme this year, avoid guesswork. Make sure you have at least 15-20 minutes to spare for revision before the final submission. Also, aim for full 15 marks in the Aptitude and English sections as those are the easiest and most scoring. Good luck!
