Ilahia College of Arts and Science was started under the auspices of Ilahia Trust in June 1995 and it completed 19 years of excellence in 2014 The College is situated on a beautiful green hillock providing a panoramic view on Muvattupuzha - Perumbavoor route (Pezhakkappilly). The campus renders a calm and conducive atmosphere for dynamic study and academic activities. The College has easy access to towns like Kochi, Kottayam, Aluva, Thodupuzha, Kothamangalam and Perumbavoor. Picnic spots like Bhoothathan Kettu Dam, Thattekadu Birds Sanctuary etc. are within the reach. Quality Policy " To excel at imparting curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular education and training to under graduate and post graduate students and to have continual improvement so as to achieve and sustain societal acceptance and distinguishable goals". Ilahia Trust was designed and materialized by a group of eminent personalities hailing from the socio-economic, cultural, political and business environment in and around Muvattupuzha. It started functioning in 1992 and this flourishing organization has contributed a major share in extending the scope and reach of regional educational achievements. Now Ilahia trust has 70 members, of which 13 members are elected to the executive committee. The establishment of a lower primary school (Kavumkara Muslim L.P. School) in 1992 was an affirmation of its phenomenal growth. The commencement of a prestigious English medium School (CBSE Syllabus) named Ilahia Public School in the same year added another landmark to its credit. The inception of Ilahia College of Arts and Science was an assertion of its unstinting dedication to professional excellence. The College is managed by the governing body, Ilahia College Managing Committee. The Engineering College at Mulavoor (MVPA) is the fulfilment of the long cherished desire of Ilahia Trust. It underlines the Trust’s timely and ingenious response to academic needs.
A career guidance cell is functioning in the college. Throughout the duration of course, the cell organizes career guidance and placement activities to assist students.
