The GATE 2026 Admit Card for Computer Science & IT will be available on January 2, 2026 at gate2026.iitg.ac.in. The CS exam is scheduled for February 8, 2026, and will be held in two sessions: CS1 from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and CS2 from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
The GATE 2026 schedule for all 30 papers is now out. The exams will take place on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. CS and CE will be conducted in two shifts, while the remaining papers will have a single shift. Admit cards will be released on January 2, 2026.

Candidates seeking admission to the first year of the four year B.E. degree course in Engineering shall be required to have anyone of the following eligibility:
A pass in a recognized Bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration and obtained at-least 50% (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examination.
A)
A pass in a recognized Bachelor's degree or equivalent in the relevant field and obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examination.
B)
* Awarded by the State Board of Technical Education
** Candidates with Section 'A' & 'B' certificates and other similar certificate issued by professional bodies or societies (e.g.A.M.I.E) recognized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India and enrolled with institutions with permanent recognition upto 31.05.2013 are eligible to be considered equivalent to B.E. / B.Tech. degree holders, only with 2 years regular / full time Teaching / Industrial experience in the relevant field after successful completion of the course including project work. An experience certificate is to be produced by the candidates.
