Kanya Gurukul Campus Dehradun is a separate girl's campus of Gurukul Kangri (Deemed to be University).  In order to fulfill this aim, Kanya Gurukul Campus (KGC) was set up in 1923, at Dehradun by great martyr Acharya Guru Ramdevji, as a center for women’s education and was recognized as the second campus of Gurukul Kangri (Deemed to be University) by UGC in 1986. Kanya Gurukul Dehradun Courses available in this campus are MCA, B.A., M.A.(Yogic Science, Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology) and Research/Ph.D. in (Computer Science, Hindi, English, Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology). 

Although the foundation of the institute was grounded with a few courses and subjects only, now, it offers technical and professional courses to fulfill the requirements of the current age. KGC is situated in the foothills of the Himalayas covering a land area of 9,000 sq feet. The erudite faculty of KGC consists of twenty-seven teachers. Fourteen non-teaching members and workers play a significant role in the overall development of the institute. A total of 300 students are enrolled in various undergraduate and post-graduate courses at KGM. The natural and spiritual environment offered at KGM helps students embody the essence of life and prepares them to face the world in a better way.

Kanya Gurukul Mahavidyalaya-KGM was established in 1986. It is approved by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) & affiliated with Gurukula Kangri University. The campus of the Kanya Gurukul Mahavidyalaya-KGM is located in Dehradun-Uttarakhand, Uttarakhand. GKV Dehradun Highlights for 2023:

The modes of Kanya Gurukul Dehradun course admissions 2023 are online and offline. Admission to various courses is based on entrance exams and merit. Gurukul Dehradun Courses available in this campus are MCA, B.A., M.A.(Yogic Science, Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology) and Research/Ph.D. in (Computer Science, Hindi, English, Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology).  Below mentioned are some of the courses offered by GKV Dehradun and their respective eligibility and Kanya Gurukul Dehradun fees.

*Note: 

1. In addition to the above fee, the annual medical fee- Rs. 350/- (including medical insurance charges Rs. 150/-) and one-time Alumni Fee-Rs. 400/- (for UG), Rs. 500/- (for PG) and Rs. 1000/- (for PhD/DLitt./DSc) shall have to pay at the time of admission.
2. The above fee is for the first year (two semesters) of the course. In the case of PG Diploma/ Diploma (1 year) and certificate courses, the fee is for the complete duration of the course.

Kanya Gurukul Dehradun offers admission to undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes. GKV Dehradun admission to UG courses is based on the CUET exam and done through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). Kanya Gurukul Dehradun admission to PG courses is offered based on GKV Dehradun Entrance Test (GKV Dehradun) followed by a personal interview. As per the GKV Dehradun PG admission criteria, 50% of the total seats are filled based on the merit of the qualifying exam and the remaining seats are filled based on rank in the entrance test. For GKV Dehradun admission to Ph.D programme, candidates are shortlisted based on candidates performance in the entrance test and personal interview round. The merit list shall be declared by the Registrar and shall be displayed on the notice boards as well as Vishwavidyalaya website or GKV Dehradun Admission Portal  (www.gkv.ac.in)/Kanya Gurukul Dehradun Admission Portal - admissions@gkv.ac.in or visit www.gkv.ac.in. 

COUNSELING FOR ADMISSION

For Admission in GKV Dehradun, candidates shall have to deposit Rs. 1100/-(Non-Refundable and Not Adjustable) as counseling fee in favor of the Registrar, Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya payable online. Candidates shall have to deposit the full fee immediately after admission is granted. If a candidate fails to deposit the fee within the prescribed time, his admission shall be treated as canceled. In case seats remain vacant after the first counseling, second counseling may be conducted only after the decision of the administration.

After the upgradation of the already admitted students through JoSAA/CSAB Counselling the remaining vacant seats will be filled through candidates by applying through the application form on the basis of All India Rank of JEE(Mains) 2022. On the confirmation of admission, the candidate has to submit the complete fee at the time of counseling. If the candidate fails to submit the complete fee on the spot, in that case, his claim for the seat will stands canceled. Candidates applying for direct admission to the second year, need to submit the counseling fee.

GKV Dehradun Admission Procedure

• Kanya Gurukul Dehradun  Admission Procedure shall be made strictly in accordance with rules and regulations made by C.S.A.B./JoSAA through CML/AIR of JEE Mains - 2022. 
• Candidates allotted seats through Central Counselling have to complete all formalities of admission (Fee and document deposition) during prescribed dates given by CSAB/JoSAA failing which their candidature shall stands canceled. 
• Candidates admitted through Central Counselling conducted by C.S.A.B./JoSAA can also avail of the chance of upgradation in case of availability of seats by filling out the same form. 
• After the up-gradation of the already admitted students remaining vacant seats will be filled through candidates by applying through the form on the basis of AIR of JEE(Mains)- 2022. 
• Application form for Direct Admission to B.Tech 1st year (lateral entry) can be downloaded from the university website www.gkv.ac.in and sent along with Demand Draft of Rs. 1200/- in favor of "Registrar, Gurukula Kangri (Deemed to be University), Dehradun," payable at Dehradun. 
• Application for B.Tech I year against vacant seats to be filled online on and print www.gkv.ac.in out of the same along with a DD of Rs 500/- in favor of Registrar, Gurukula Kangri (Deemed to be University), if not paid online payable at Dehradun, should be sent to the office of the Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Gurukula Kangri (Deemed to be University), Dehradun, on or before last date. 

GKV Dehradun B.Tech 1st Year Admission Process 2023

B.Tech 1st Year  Eligibility: Candidate must have Passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one out of the Biotechnology/ Biology/Chemistry/Technical Vocational subject. from any recognized Board or University of India or foreign country or as per Eligibility decided by JoSAA/CSAB- 2022 on the basis of CRL/AIR of JEE Mains - 2022 conducted by N.T. A., New Delhi. or *( As per CSAB-2022 rules) 

Direct Admission to  B.Tech 1st Year

Eligibility: High School Certificate & Marksheet Intermediate (10+2) Certificate & Marksheet B.Sc./Diploma Certificate& Marksheet Migration & TC from the institution last attended Character certificate from the institution last attended Reservation category certificate, if applicable Candidate has to bring 8 photo & 4 photocopies of High School Certificate & Marksheet, Intermediate (10+2) Certificate & Marksheet, B.Sc./Diploma Certificate & Marksheet. A candidate must have passed the Diploma in Engineering in any branch with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for OBC/PWD/SC/ST) in aggregate. / as per APH-2022 of AICTE OR A candidate must have passed the Degree in Science (B.Sc.) with Mathematics as a subject and with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST and GKV graduates) in aggregate.  Admission in Kanya Gurukul Dehradun shall be made on the basis of merit based on the Gurukula Kangri Entrance test (GKET-2022) through counseling.

GKV Dehradun Admission to Diploma

• Passed 10th class examination with Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one out of the Biotechnology/ Biology/Chemistry/Technical Vocational subject from any recognized Board or University of India or foreign country or as per Eligibility decided by AICTE. 
• Admission shall be made on the basis of merit based on different state Level Entrance Examinations. GKV Dehradun Scholarships for SC/ST Cell: Gurukula Kangri (Deemed to be University), Dehradun received the approval of the establishment of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Cell from the UGC Vide letter no. F.9-14/2004 (SCT) dated 30-12-2004. To boost up the program, University at the first appointed Prof. R.D. Sharma, Liasion officer. Thereafter in March 2006 the sanctioned post of coordinator Gr-II, Section officer, Research cum statistical officer, Steno/Data entry Operator, and peon were filled.  An advisory committee for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes was constituted under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor. It is a matter of great pleasure and satisfaction that the supreme body of the University, i.e. senate (The board of directors) has passed the resolution sanctioning a membership of SC/ST representatives in the board of directors, the board of management, and academic council as directed by the University Grants Commission. As per the decision of the advisory committee of the cell ramps for Differently abled persons (PWD) are being constructed in the respective buildings in the University. The University has accepted 27 percent reservations for Other Backward Classes (OBC) in admission from the year. i.e. 2010-11.

The Kanya Gurukul Dehradun Scholarship Process cell continuously watches the welfare of the SC/ST/OBC/PWD students and in case of any grievances, the cell actively takes appropriate measures to sort out their problem. Due to efforts of the cell, the University is providing rent-free accommodation to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes students in the hostels. The representation of SC/ST in all admissions/selection committees is ensured as per guidelines. A special recruitment drive for the appointment of SC/ST/OBC/PWD for teaching and non-teaching posts is in progress.
