An analysis of CUET exam mathematics papers from the last three to four years (2022–2025) shows that certain chapters consistently dominate the exam. The most important topics include Matrices and Determinants, Calculus (Continuity, Differentiability, Integrals, Applications of Derivatives), Probability, Vectors and 3-Dimensional Geometry, and Linear Programming. Among these, Calculus carries the highest weightage, often contributing 10–12 questions in a single paper. Key areas within calculus include maxima and minima, increasing and decreasing functions, tangents and normals, definite and indefinite integrals, and area under the curve. Algebra is another scoring unit where students must focus on matrix operations, inverse of matrices, determinants, and solving linear equations using matrices. In vectors and 3D geometry, commonly asked areas include direction cosines, vector dot products, and equations of lines and planes. Similarly, probability questions often revolve around conditional probability, Bayes’ theorem, and probability distributions, which require conceptual clarity rather than simple formula application.
