MPGI Kanpur offers a wide range of campus facilities to support student comfort and overall growth. The campus has two auditoriums, with the functional one covering 12,000 sq. ft. and accommodating 500 people, equipped with a Hitachi 6500 Lumen Projector and Yamaha music system. The 7 libraries include major central libraries for Engineering, Pharmacy, and Dental departments, with the Engineering library holding over 40,000 books.

Security at MPGI includes 22 trained security personnel working in 12-hour shifts, supported by 24/7 CCTV coverage. The Mandhana Campus has a 550 KWP power station with an additional 130 KWP solar power installation. Transportation includes three buses with 60-seat capacity each, along with a dedicated dental van. Support staff includes 54 housekeeping personnel and 12 maintenance staff. Two banks, Bank of India and Union Bank of India, operate within the campus, and a 24x7 in-campus hospital is available for hostellers.

MPGI has separate boys and girls hostels with a combined accommodation capacity of 650 students. Triple sharing hostel fees are INR 80,000 per year and double sharing fees are INR 90,000 per year, with mess fees included. Hostel students have access to recreation rooms, indoor sports facilities, and yoga sessions with 2 sports coaches and 1 Yoga Guru.

MPGI hosts Encuentro, a three-day student-run cultural festival, and has welcomed celebrities including Arbaaz Khan, Kailash Kher, and Chetan Bhagat. The campus celebrates festivals like Diwali and Holi and conducts social initiatives including blood donation camps and dental camps.

Auditorium

MPGI currently has two auditoriums on campus, one of which is functional and the other under construction. The functional auditorium covers an area of 12,000 sq. ft. and can accommodate 500 people at once. It is equipped with a Hitachi 6500 Lumen Projector, a Yamaha music system, and surround sound acoustics. The larger auditorium, with a seating capacity of 1,500, is under construction with pending interior work.

Library Facilities

MPGI has 7 libraries across its campus, including three major central libraries for Engineering, Pharmacy, and Dental colleges. The Engineering library holds over 40,000 books and spans 6,000 sq. ft., while the Dental and Pharmacy libraries each hold over 30,000 books. The Dental library covers 2,000 sq. ft. and the Pharmacy library also covers 2,000 sq. ft. These libraries provide reading and reference resources across all major departments.

Security

MPGI deploys specially trained security personnel across the campus, with training and management provided by an external agency. A total of 22 security personnel are posted across campus shifts, divided into 12-hour shifts each. This ensures round-the-clock monitoring and safety across the hostel and academic areas. Security coverage is supported by 24/7 CCTV surveillance across the campus.

Power Station

MPGI's Mandhana Campus has a 550 KWP installed capacity power station that serves the 24x7 power needs of the institution and its hostels. In addition, a 130 KWP solar power installation has been set up as a move towards green and sustainable energy. This dual power setup ensures uninterrupted power supply across academic and residential areas. The solar initiative reflects the campus's focus on environment-friendly infrastructure.

Transportation

MPGI operates three dedicated buses for ferrying students, each with a seating capacity of 60 students. A separate dental bus/van is also available, built with in-built dental facilities for outreach purposes. This transportation facility supports daily commute needs for students across the campus. The dental van specifically supports dental camps and related field activities.

Support Staff

MPGI has 54 housekeeping personnel and 12 maintenance staff dedicated to ensuring smooth operations across the hostel and campus. Bank

Two banks are available within the MPGI college campus — Bank of India and Union Bank of India. Each evening of the festival concludes with a cultural performance, such as a kavi-sammelan or a rock concert, held across the 50-acre campus, ending with a treasure hunt.

Celebrities Visits at Maharana Pratap Group Of Institutions

MPGI has hosted several celebrities during its cultural festivals over the years, introducing students to varied experiences. MPGI has two boys hostels:

• R.N. Tagore Boys Hostel — 57 rooms
• Aryabhata Boys Hostel — 140 rooms, on twin sharing basis, with air conditioning and single occupancy available on demand

Girls Hostel

• Sarojini Naidu Hall of Residence — 132 rooms, on twin sharing basis, with air conditioning and single occupancy available on demand

Mess for Hostellers

On-campus accommodation is available for 650 students. Student residences are located within a two-minute walk to classes, athletic facilities, libraries, and dining facilities.

Recreation Rooms

Hostel students have access to recreation rooms and indoor sports facilities, including a basketball court, volleyball court, badminton court, chess room, carom room, and table tennis room.
