It was the dream of our First Bishop of Syro Malankara Diocese of Marthandam Most Rev. Lawrence Mar Ephraem, to establish and provide higher educational opportunities to the young Men and Women. In order to come true the dream, former Bishop Most Rev. Yoohanon Mar Chrysostom founded and established “ Mar Ephraem College of Engineering and Technology ”at Malakara Hills,The Elavuvilai which is 4.5 k.m. from Marthandam. To enable students to explore the resources available to them and make their experience of it unique, beautiful and most facility, personal and internalized efforts are proposed. In short to undergo a transformational learning. The college represent this through our core values. A new generation engineering college that stands out from the others with its commitment to quality was the prime aim. The affection to emerging technology leads to the formation of a technological based institute which brings a standardized education to the young generation. The infrastructure and facilities of MAR Ephraem College of Engineering and Technology Kanyakumari Tamil consists of spread-out campus alongside various amenities in the form of library, computer center, classrooms with proper teaching and learning aids, medical facilities etc. The institute seeks to place each of its students in an organization/ company of great repute.

Mar Ephraem Library/ Knowledge Resource Centre has nearly 10000 volumes of books with 3000 titles and wide range of academic resources like E-journals, DVD/CD ROM Databases, Periodicals, Back volumes, Project reports, Question bank etc. An excellent state of art Library with a built in area of more than 1000 Square meter and CCTV Camera Surveillance. The Library is fully automated with LIS software and Bar-coded circulation service (Issue, Return and Renewal of books). The Mar Ephraem campus offers excellent residential accommodation for its students. Modern amenities are available with attached restrooms, geysers and exhaust fans.
