To overcome the dearth of Pharmacists, Nagrik Shikshan Sanstha started the college of pharmacy. Diploma in pharmacy is the minimum qualification for registration as a pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948 and according to section 42 of this Act the profession of pharmacy is reserved for the Registered pharmacists only. Under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act a qualified person is one who holds a Diploma in pharmacy and/or a registered pharmacist.Nagrik Shikshan Sanstha's College of pharmacy offers the course leading to Diploma in Pharmacy (part I and part II). The minimum qualifications required for registration as a pharmacist under the pharmacy Act, 1948 shall be Diploma in pharmacy (part I, part II, part III).Diploma in pharmacy (part I and part II) shall consist of a certificate of having passed the course of study as per the Education Regulation of the Pharmacy Council of India and part III shall consist of a certificate of having satisfactorily completed a course of practical training as required by the Education Regulations.
