Nayanta University is a private university established in 2025 under the Maharashtra Private Universities Act, 2023 and recognised by the UGC. The university currently operates from an interim 6-acre green campus designed by architect Christopher Benninger.

Admissions at Nayanta University follow a three-stage selection process. Candidates first complete a detailed application form that includes short essays and a personal statement. Applicants then appear for the Nayanta Aptitude Test (NAT), which includes Verbal, Numerical, Reasoning, and on-the-spot essay sections conducted over 1 hour and 10 minutes. Shortlisted candidates are invited for a personal interview. The admission process is intended to evaluate academic ability, curiosity, resilience, communication skills, and the overall background of each applicant.
