The Ness Wadia College of Commerce was inaugurated on 15th July 1969 in pune and is the leading college in india. the Ness Wadia College of Commerce is accrediated by NAAC with an 'A' grade. named after Sir Ness Wadia, (1873-1952), the renowned industrialist and philanthropist of his times. It offers various courses in M.Com, MCA, Diploma Courses, Ph.D. Programme. The mission statement of the college declares a stress on the overall development of its students and its faculty virtually vows by it. The student is left free to work for several student groups during the after-lecture hours. These are around twenty in number and always seen scheduling their activities round the year. Their areas of concern are varied and creative-theatre, debating, empowerment of women, community development, literature, religion, human rights, social reforms and books to name a few. They provides various facility to students: Language Lab, Research Cell, Gymkhana, ESGC, Hostel, Computer Lab, APCC, Placement & Career Guidance Cell, Open Air Theatre, College Canteen and Library.

The peer team of the National Council for Assessment and Accreditation (NAAC), Bangalore visited the college in February 2004 and accredited it with an A grade. This makes the college one of the two exclusive commerce colleges in Pune with an A grade. IndiaToday has already ranked it as one of the top five colleges in the city.
The college was selected two years consecutively for two University of Pune awards: the 'Best College Award (2005–06)' & the 'Best Principal Award (2006–07)'. Both the awards were presented by the Vice Chancellor on the University Foundation Day (10 February 2005).

CISINess Wadia College of Commerce, Pune and CISI (Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment), UK have collaborated with each other to offer a wide range of qualifications in investment operatinos. CISI, UK is the principal provider of qualifications for the financial services industry. The College has signed on MOU with CISI which aims at offering a wide ranging programme of qualifications for the students of the college aspiring to work in investment operations
BARTIThe college has entered into a collaborative agreement through its Competitive Examination Center with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute, Govt. of Maharashtra. Under this agreement, the college will conduct a-month Part Time Course for coaching the students for the Clerical Cadre of the nationalized banks. The first of these courses was conducted from 30May 2013 to 30August 2013. The selected students in the reservation category are given free coaching with a stipend of Rs 3000.
The Center has a library with about 800 books and an experienced faculty to teach such subjects as English, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Numerical ability, and Computer Awareness.
DCCIAShort term courses are conducted in the evenings in Lean Management, Six Sigma, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, and Service Tax etc.
