FYJC, also known as First Year Junior College, is an online admission process conducted by Maharashtra board to get students admission to a junior college where they can pursue 11th and 12th. As the Class 10th results of Maharashtra are out, it is time to register for FYJC admission. The students who have passed 10th from a recognised board can apply for admission through FYJC admission. Through FYJC, the students can take admission in any of the four streams; HSVC, Science, Commerce and Arts. In order to get admission to junior college through the FYJC admission, the students must pass the SSC examination conducted by the Maharashtra board. The admission is based on the merit of the student in the qualifying examination. The whole admission process for FYJC 2020 has been transferred to online mode.
The Part 1 Registration for FYJC has commenced on August 01, 2020. The date for Part 2 registration will be notified soon.

Before filling the application process for FYJC admission 2020, it is very important for the students to stay aware of the eligibility required to fill the application process. Only the students who fulfil the required FYJC eligibility criteria will be given admission. The complete eligibility criteria required to be fulfilled for FYJC admission 2020 is given as below:
The candidate must have passed SSC or an equivalent level exam from Maharashtra Board or another recognised board.
The candidate must have passed the qualification degree with English as the core subject.
In order to get admission in bifocal subjects, the candidate must have opted for General Mathematics as one of the subjects for a qualifying degree.
The candidate must have acquired a minimum aggregate of 35% in Class 10th for admission to Science stream.
The students with the domicile of Maharashtra will be provided with Constitutional reservation for admission.
The students who are not from Maharashtra or who have passed class 10th from CBSE or other board other than Maharashtra board will have to fill the Appendix “A” form.
The Maharashtra board instils some reservation policy for the reserved candidates of FYJC. The candidates who come under the FYJC reservation criteria will be given certain preference for admission to junior colleges. The FYJC reservation policy for different criteria of candidates as per different regions in Maharashtra is specified in the table below:
Recently, the complete application and admission process for FYJC admission has been transferred to the online mode along with offline mode. All the candidates who wish to apply for the FYJC 2020 application must be aware of the complete application process. Given below is the complete detailed application process for FYJC 2020 which the students have to follow to apply for admission.
Where to Apply for FYJC Admissions 2020:
The candidates can fill the application form online
The students who belong to the recognised higher secondary schools in the six corporation areas have to appear for the online application process as a compulsion.
A separate special round will be conducted for the A.T.K.T (Allowed to Keep Terms) students.
The students must buy the information booklet before filling the FYJC 2020 application form. The candidates can buy the booklet from their schools by paying an amount of 150 rs.
Students are advised to read all the information given in the booklet carefully before filling the FYJC application form.
Visit the official website and enter your Login ID and password to log in to the session. If you are a new user, click on register. Enter all the required information to complete the registration process.
On the homepage, click on the link for admission form. Students can also click on the link for “assistance in filling admission form” to read the instructions.
For the part 1 application process, enter all the personal information as required in the application form.
In part 2 registration, the candidates will have to enter the 10 choices of colleges for admission. The students will also have to choose one stream among the four to get admission.
After filling all the information, the candidates will have to upload the documents and photographs in the prescribed format.
After uploading the documents, click on the submit button.
The payment portal will open where the students will have to submit the application fee. The fee payment can be done through a Demand Draft.
After payment of fee, the application will be completed.

It is important for the candidates to submit all the required documents at the time of applying for FYJC admission 2020. The candidate who fails to submit the required documents will be eliminated from the admissions. The list of documents required for FYJC admission 2020 are:
A dully filled admission application form
Original and attested copies of class 10th Mark sheet
School leaving certificate
Domicile Certificate (if applicable)
Reservation Certificate (if applicable)
An affidavit of INR 100 for the candidates taking admission under linguistic minority (Sindhi) quota.
Duly filled Appendix “A” form for foreign candidates other than Maharashtra board.
FYJC 2020 Important Instructions
Some of the important instructions that the candidates must keep in mind while filling the FYJC application 2020 are as follows:
Students who have passed 10th from CBSE, ICSE or any other board have to fill and submit Appendix “A” form.
The students from other board than Maharashtra board will have to fill their 5 best scores in the admission form.
The subject group for ICSE will be considered for FYJC admission.
The students can change their selected stream once while filling the form 2.
For HSVC and bifocal subjects, 25% of the seats will be reserved for the students who have passed 10th with V1, V2 and V3.
