National Institute of Securities Market (NISM) renders Post Graduate Diploma in Quantitative Finance (PGDQF), Post Graduate Diploma in Securities Market courses. Pursuant to the directives issued by the Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (Capital Markets Section) vide letter no. F.No.5 (17)/CM/06, dated 26th May 2006, Indian Institute of Capital Market- erstwhile UTI Institute of Capital Markets (IICM) is amalgamated with National Institute of Securities Market (NISM). NISM has taken over all the activities carried out by IICM and all future programs shall be undertaken by NISM. National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust, established by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator for securities markets in India. It is located in Navi Mumbai, India. NISM seeks to add to market quality through educational initiatives. It is an autonomous body governed by its Board of Governors. An international Advisory Council provides strategic guidance to NISM. Envisions To lead, catalyze and deliver educational initiatives to enhance the quality of securities markets. The mission of the academy is to engage in capacity building among the stakeholders in the securities markets through financial literacy, professional education, enhancing governance standards and fostering policy research. NISM proffers a catalytic role in promoting securities markets research and education, through close interface with policy makers and regulators, continuous knowledge creation and dissemination, and enabling stakeholders to enhance knowledge, skill and awareness through research based inputs.
On the success completion of the course the National Institute of Securities Markets provides assistance in placement with good firms. However National Institute of Securities Markets does not guarantee placement. In the recent years the college has witnessed some well known recruitment companies walking-in and being invited for campus placements.
