In 2021, there was a summer internship placement drive at the AIT Pune campus by the National Science Foundation, USA. Students at the campus are placed into summer internships to get trained and experience the outcome of their choices. Students get a great insight into what their jobs and what the working field might bring to them, and the training and presentations do involve and are taught a great understanding of how to overcome an obstacle while in the working field.  

The AIT summer internship placements can also last for up to 6 months. One placement programme, which was held at the AIT Pune campus in 2020, was the Winter Application Programme which involved a deep understanding of computer vision applications.
