Uttaranchal University admissions to B.Tech courses are based on JEE Main scores. The session 2 results of JEE Main 2024 have been declared by NTA on the official website. 

The university accepts CUET scores for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Prospective students for UG courses need to qualify the CUET UG exam and participate in the counselling process conducted by the university. Similarly, CUET PG scores are considered for Uttaranchal University admissions to PG courses. 

The university offers a wide range of UG, PG, Diploma, and Research programmes, including lateral entry into B.Tech., B.Pharm., and BHM programmes. Uttaranchal University admission to all courses is determined based on performance in the qualifying exam and a subsequent interview. For B.Tech, JEE Main rank is also considered. Admission to B.Pharm. and D.Pharm. programmes is based on the performance in the UUEE entrance exam. For the M.Tech programme, only the GATE/UKSEE score is considered. Uttaranchal University admission to the MBA programme is based on the CAT/MAT/XAT/UUEE. The university also offers merit-based admission for M.Sc. programme. For the Ph.D. programme, the Uttaranchal University admission criteria include UGC-NET (JRF), UGC-CSIR NET, SLET, Teacher's Fellowship, and performance in the interview.

Uttaranchal University reserves 40% of its seats under the state quota system for residents of Uttarakhand, while the remaining seats are available to students from across India. In compliance with government regulations, the university also reserves 5% of the seats for candidates with disabilities. • B.Tech admission is based on merit, calculated from marks secured in the qualifying examination and rank/merit in JEE-Main.
• For other UG courses like BBA, candidates are shortlisted based on merit in the qualifying exam, followed by an interview round. Selection is based on interview performance.
• Uttaranchal University admission to B.Pharm is merit-based, determined by marks secured in UUEE and 10+2.

Eligibility for International Student for PG Admission

To be eligible for a postgraduate program at Uttaranchal University in 2024, international students must meet several criteria. Firstly, they must have a bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university. In terms of academic performance, general category students must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in their undergraduate degree, while SC/ST category students require a minimum of 45% marks. Additionally, a valid score or percentile in GATE/MAT/CAT/CMAT/XAT/UUEE is necessary. Lastly, students must have scored at least 50% in their graduation in the field related to the postgraduate program they wish to pursue. Once these eligibility criteria are met, students can proceed with the application process for their chosen postgraduate program at Uttaranchal University.

Uttaranchal University Selection Criteria for PG Courses

• Uttaranchal University admission to M.Tech courses is based on entrance exams. Candidates need to have a valid GATE/UKSEE score are eligible for admission.
• For MBA, candidates are selected based on their performance in the CAT/MAT/CMAT/XAT exams conducted by IIMS. Those who do not have scores from any of the aforementioned exams must take the university's UUEE test. Shortlisted candidates are required to go through the university's interview process. Following the interview, selected candidates must pay the Uttaranchal University admission fee to secure their place.
• For other PG Courses, Uttaranchal University admission is based on merit in the qualifying exam and performance in the interview.

• Click on the "Apply Now" tab.
• In the "New Students Signup" box, enter your personal information.
• After filling out the required details, click on "SIGN UP."
• You will receive a confirmation email on your registered email address, which includes a link to activate your registration.
• Click on the link provided in the email to activate your online registration account.
• After activation, you will be redirected to the online registration page.
• Sign in using the "Registered Student Login" area and follow the instructions provided in the form. Once completed, click on the "Submit" button.
• After submitting the form, proceed to pay the registration fee of Rs 1250. You can make the payment to Dena Bank using a demand draft, NEFT, RTGS, or direct deposit via the CCAvenue online secure payment channel.
• Once the payment is confirmed, an online receipt will be generated, and you will receive a payment confirmation email.
• Finally, print out the registration form for your records.

Documents required for Uttaranchal University Admission

• A scanned, passport-sized color photograph.
• A scanned copy of the applicant's signature.
• Scanned copies of qualification documents, ranging from the 10th standard to the highest qualification achieved.
• Scanned copies of diploma, degree, or equivalent documents for graduation, post-graduation, or PG diploma.
• A scanned copy of a valid ID proof with a photograph, issued by the government.
• A scanned copy of residence or address proof, if it is different from the ID proof.
• A scanned copy of the original qualifying examination certificate or marksheet.
• A scanned copy of any one of the original documents mentioning the date of birth. This could be the 10th standard marksheet, school leaving certificate, or transfer certificate.

Uttaranchal University offers a range of scholarships in accordance with government norms. These scholarships are extended to students of SC/ST categories and to Uttarakhand Domicile Candidates. Uttaranchal University scholarships amounting to 26% of tuition fees are offered to Uttarakhand Domicile Candidates, with 40% of seats reserved for these students. To claim this scholarship, students must possess an original Domicile Certificate from Uttarakhand State.

In addition to this, the university also offers merit scholarships. Students who score 90.01% or higher in the qualifying exam are eligible for a 30% scholarship on tuition fees. Those who score between 80.01% and 90% receive a 20% Uttaranchal University scholarship, while students who score between 70.01% and 80% are granted a 10% scholarship. Furthermore, the Uttaranchal University provides a 10% scholarship on tuition fees to students who complete a programme from the university and then enrol in another programme offered by the university.
