While anyone intending to measure their level of English proficiency is eligible to take the TOEFL, it has been deliberately designed and modified to more closely resemble the testing environment found in a college or university setting.
The academic material or content and questions on the TOEFL are all explicitly drawn from, inspired by, or recreated versions of real-world scenarios that university students encounter on a daily basis.
The TOEFL 2022 exam measures an applicant's university-level English proficiency. For this reason, it is advised that students only take the TOEFL if they have at least completed their secondary school (Class 10 / Standard X) level education.
The level of questions and vocabulary in TOEFL 2022 is certainly not considered easy. Any candidate who aims to score well in the exam must ensure that they can communicate properly in the English language including the speaking, reading, listening and writing aspects of formal and informal communication, at a level expected from a university student. The candidate should have a working knowledge of English.
In order to find out if you have to take the TOEFL 2022 or not, candidates must check the entry requirements of the programme they wish to pursue at the university they wish to apply to. TOEFL 2022 scores are widely accepted by universities across the globe for the purpose of providing admissions to overseas students.
There are no prescribed limits on how many times a student can retake the TOEFL.
There is only a mandatory 12-day waiting period until a candidate can retake the TOEFL 2022 although one can register for multiple test dates as long as they are not within the 12-day limit.
University applicants who take the TOEFL 2022 more than once are under no obligation to disclose all of their scores. Institutions will only have access to the scores selected by the candidate.
