One of the oldest and compressive public research universities of Canada, the University of Windsor is a home to students from over 85 countries. University of Windsor was founded in 1857 as Assumption College. It was renamed as Assumption University of Windsor in 1956 and finally it was called as the University of Windsor in 1963.
