Founded in 1824, Manchester Metropolitan University is a public research university located in the Manchester city of England. It is one of the leading universities of the World and holds a QS World University Ranking of 751- 800. According to The Complete University Guide, the university is ranked 54th out of 130 in the UK, based on a variety of factors such as research quality, entry standards, overall rating, and graduate prospects. Included in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), the university has been awarded silver and its business school also holds the international benchmark of excellence.

Manchester Metropolitan University is one of the largest universities in the UK that offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses to more than 30,000 students. The programmes offered at the university are designed to meet the needs of the industry and business. The university offers courses under six faculties. It has a range of departments, schools and support services to assist the students. The university has three campuses namely - All Saint campus, Cheshire Campus and Birley Campus. It also has twelve research centres across key disciplines.

The Health and safety of students is the foremost priority of Manchester Metropolitan University in the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The university is monitoring the situation regularly. International students are allowed to attend the classes for the September session. The university has decided to reopen the building and facilities from September 14 wherein students will be allowed to study in blocks and the focus will be on the one-course unit at a time.
The university also plans to provide some on-campus and in-person teaching to every student. The authorities are reviewing spaces, teaching rooms, laboratories, studios and libraries to ensure a safe environment for on-campus learning.
With an open campus, all students will have access to tutorials, lectures and seminars, library services, careers and work placement support, catering outlets, workshops and labs, loan facilities and so on.
The UK Government has confirmed the restart of on-campus teaching at higher educational institutes post May 17, 2021. Those who are travelling to the UK after May 17th can demonstrate COVID-19 vaccination status and enter the country, except for people from red-listed countries.
The scholarship is offered to candidates who are enrolled in full-time undergraduate studies.
The eligibility criteria for International undergraduate Scholarship is as follows:
Applicants need not apply for the course. Eligible candidates are automatically considered for the scholarship. Candidates who receive the scholarship can see it in the online enrolment.
Value: There is some reduction in the tuition fees for students who receive the scholarship. It is covered for each year of 120 credits study.
This scholarship is offered to the candidates who apply for a full taught Masters course (180 credits). The course that the student applies for must begin in January 2021.
The eligibility criteria for International Postgraduate Scholarship is as follows:
There is no need to fill in an additional form for the scholarship. Candidates who are considered for the scholarship will be informed at the time of enrollment of the course.
Value: There is a reduction in fees for the candidates who receive the scholarship.
Applicants who hold a First class degree in undergraduate studies will receive a scholarship of £2,500. Candidates with grades lower than first degree will be awarded £2,000 scholarship.
