Junagadh Agricultural University is a public state university established on May 1, 2004. The university was established under the Gujarat Agricultural Universities (GAUs) Act 2004. The university is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). In the year 2020, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) ranked Junagadh Agricultural University at 40th position in top agricultural universities in India.
