July 18, 2025Memorandum of Understanding Signed for Onion and Garlic Research - On July 18, 2025, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Vasant Rao Naik Marathwada Agricultural University and the Onion-Garlic Research Directorate. This agreement aims to benefit farmers in Marathwada by enhancing onion and garlic production. The MoU was signed by Dr. Vijay Mahajan, Director of the Onion-Garlic Research Directorate, and Dr. Khizar Beg, Director of Research at the university. The collaboration will provide opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students to conduct research in modern laboratories at the Onion-Garlic Research Directorate. Additionally, it will accelerate joint research efforts and enable new research projects through the university's Vegetable Research Center, ultimately benefiting local farmers with advanced technologies in onion and garlic production.
