Admission Process of Engineering Courses for Girls

Just like the fees, the admission process for Engineering also varies for different institutes. Basically, there are three admission processes for Engineering colleges in India: Direct Admission, Through National/ State Level Entrance Exam and Through Institute Based Entrance Exam.

National/ State Level Entrance Exam

The premier institutes in India such as IITs, IIITs, NITs, etc. take admission on the basis of a national/ state level entrance exam. The students have to qualify for the entrance exam and score the minimum cutoff score required for admission.

Further, the seats are allotted through the counselling process on the basis of rank obtained by the candidates in the exam.

Some of the most popular Engineering Entrance Exams in India are JEE Main, JEE Advanced, AP EAMCET, HPCET, etc.

Institute Level Entrance Exam

Some of the institutes also conduct their own entrance exam to shortlist the candidates for admission. While some institutes provide admission on the basis of entrance exam score, some institutes also conduct group discussion & personal interview round after the entrance exam.

The candidates will have to qualify for all the rounds for admission. Some of the popular institute level Engineering entrance exams are SRMJEEE, VITEEE, Amity JEE, LPUNEST, etc.

Direct Admission
