Private Engineering Courses in India from prestigious universities are costly. Around 67 of India's leading engineering universities charge a course/annual fee ranging from Rs 1-10 lakh. In government colleges, the average cost of a four-year Btech is around 2 lakhs, while private colleges charge between 8 and 15 lakhs. Passing from a premium institution earns an engineering student a package of roughly 10-18 lakhs, whereas passing from a non-premium college earns a package of 3-6 lakhs.
