Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology opened its doors in 1967. Seneca College is affiliated to Colleges Ontario, CCAA, CICan, AUCC, CBIE, Polytechnics Canada, OCAA. Seneca is Canada’s most vibrant college and a leader in post-secondary education. The college is recognized around the world for its career-focused programs, expert faculty, committed staff, and the success of many graduates. More students choose Seneca than any other college in Canada. The college has no official ranking among top-ranking agencies like QS, Us News & Times Now.
Infrastructure, Campus & Courses
The college has a total of 9 campuses in Greater Toronto, Ontario namely; Jane Campus, King Campus, New Market Campus, Markham Campus, York Campus, Newnham Campus, Scarborough Campus, Vaughan Campus, Yorkgate Campus and Peterborough Campus. The Newnham Campus of Seneca is one of the largest in Canada. The York campus is situated on York Unversity's Keele campus. This campus has the Schools of Media, English and Liberal Studies, Creative Arts and Animation, Information and Communications Technology, and Creative Arts and Animation. The King Campus is one of the campuses with scenic beauty, with woods, fields, and lakes. The Markham Campus was the first institution to provide post-secondary education in the city of Markham in Ontario. The Jane Campus houses the Center for Advanced Technologies of Seneca. The Peterborough campus teaches Aviation at the Peterborough Airport. There are around 3 community campuses that provide education that is directed and meant to serve the particular community. The community campuses are the Newmarket Campus, Vaughan Campus, and the Yorkgate Campus. The International department houses the English Language Institute and the Liberal Arts department has the Liberal Arts Programs. It offers both full-time and part-time diploma, graduate, baccalaureate, and certificate-level programs. Seneca College has 191 programs consisting of 23 programs in certificates and 72 programs in diploma to 28 programs in advanced diploma to 48 programs in graduate and 16 programs in bachelor’s degree programs. The most sought after courses at Seneca are Early Childhood Education, Accounting, Accounting and Finance, Police Foundations and Liberal Arts, and Social Service Worker (tied).

The Seneca College community Campuses specialize in training and re-employment services for internationally trained professionals, academic upgrading for college eligibility, and support for students seeking Second Career Program funding. On average, Seneca students receive almost $9 million a year in financial support from the College and its donors.

Seneca has more than 97500 students which include full time and part-time students. The student-faculty ratio is 22:1 at the college. The college has more than 3,500 international students from 113 countries. Companies visiting for recruitment and internships are Lets Expand, HCL Technologies, Anewa Engineering Pvt. Ltd. (Dialog Group, Malaysia), Cellar Door Hospitality, and many more.
