Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology opened its doors in 1967.  Seneca College is affiliated to Colleges Ontario, CCAA, CICan, AUCC, CBIE, Polytechnics Canada, OCAA. Seneca is Canada’s most vibrant college and a leader in post-secondary education. The college is recognized around the world for its career-focused programs, expert faculty, committed staff, and the success of many graduates. More students choose Seneca than any other college in Canada. The institution is ranked among the top 100 schools of Canada and has community as well international support to its credit.

Infrastructure, Campus and Courses

The college has a total of 9 campuses in Greater Toronto, Ontario namely; Jane Campus, King Campus, New Market Campus, Markham Campus, York Campus, Newnham Campus, Scarborough Campus, Vaughan Campus, Yorkgate Campus and Peterborough Campus. The institution offers programs in subjects of Media, English and Liberal Studies, Creative Arts and Animation, Information and Communications Technology, Creative Arts and Animation, Aviation and others. There are around 3 community campuses that provide education that is directed and meant to serve the particular community. Seneca College has 48 graduate, 16 undergraduate, 23 certificate, 72 diploma and 28 advanced diploma course programs.

Accomplishments and Alumni

The institution is the first to provide post-secondary education in the city of Markham in Ontario. Center for Advanced Technologies of Seneca is one of the infrastructural qualities of the institution. On average, Seneca students receive almost $9 million a year in financial support from the College and its donors. Notable alumni of Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology include famed personalities such as Enza Anderson, Bobby Ash, Mathis Bailey, Lyriq Bent, Boris Cherniak, Al Connelly, Alvin Curling, Dini Dimakos, Geraldine Heaney, Chuck Jones, Rukhsana Khan, Wiz Kilo, Vivienne Poy, Yasmin Warsam, and many others.

Student Diversity and Visiting Companies

Seneca has an international student population of 27.6%, with their origins rooting to 113 countries. The institution has a separate team to attend to the concerns of International students. Additionally, every student is assigned a student advisor in relation to their pursue program, for the entire duration. Companies visiting for recruitment and internships are Let's Expand, HCL Technologies, Anewa Engineering Pvt. Ltd. (Dialog Group, Malaysia), Cellar Door Hospitality, and many more. Additionally the institute provides career guidance and support to its students by way of administrative department. The service includes counselling as well.

Renewable Degree Scholarships

Students will be eligible for these scholarships if they are entering the undergraduate programme. Scholarships for Nursing programmes will be different from that offered for all other programmes at the university.
