Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan Events & Key Course Info 2023

There are several types of programs, some good to know general facts about each are given below -

  • Jyotisha Bharathi - Jyotish Bharathi is a program for learning Indian, Vedic, and beyond Astrology. Indian Astrology includes the core Vedic Astrology and its developments in newer texts like the South  India Jaimini Sutras.  Jaimini Sutras teach movable karakas among other new innovations. Kalachakra Dasha, Yogini Dasha, Narayana Dasha.  These are Dashas that help time events in a new way. While Kalachakra Dasha is called the kingmaker dasha, it is a deep and research-heavy Dasha. There is less research available and it has sister concerns in Kalachakra Tantra of Tibetan Buddhism and  Kalachakra philosophy in general. A book called Kalachakra meditations is written on conversations between the renowned philosopher J.Krishnamurti and Quantum physicist David Bohm. Yogini and Narayana Dasha are two novel time prediction techniques in some books. Finally, Lal Kitab is a book found in the late 1900s and finds relevant techniques to calm planetary positions in a chart to bring down misfortune. It was found in Pakistan in the Farsi language. It was translated by Pt. Roop Chandra Joshi.
  • Dance - Dances in Indian Classical format are pioneered in Northern India by Late Birju Maharaj. Indian classical dances have mudras, asanas, and deep involvement in Yogic postures. The movements are less formal and more intuitive as compared to Western classical dances like Ballet. Dance involves several types like Bharatnatyam, Kathak, and Odissi. All these dances take a few months to understand and at least a few years to master. They are aesthetical, and formal and hold much value in the world of Arts.
