Chitkara University has been established in 2008 by the Himachal Pradesh State Legislature under the “Chitkara University Act.” It is a government-recognised university with the authority to confer degrees under Sections 2(f) and 22(1) of the UGC Act, 1956.

Chitkara University courses offered in BE, B.Sc, B.Pharm, and M.Pharm with a range of specialisations. 

• Candidates for BE admission to Chitkara University must have completed their10+2 with PCM at least 60% of the required marks.
• JEE Main is used to determine admission to the BE programme.
• Candidates must have finished their10+2 with PCB with 45% in order to be eligible for a B.Sc. programme.
• Candidates must have completed 10+2 with PCB/PCM  with 50% to be eligible for B.Pharm.
• Candidates must have completed B.Pharm with 50% in order to be eligible for M. Pharm.
• GPAT is used to determine admission to the M. Pharm programme.

• Certificate and XII-class mark sheets that have been attested.
• Migration Document from the previous Board or University.
• Two recent colour photos the size of a passport with your name and birth date clearly displayed on the back.
• It is necessary to have a copy of your rank card and, if the results haven't been released, your class 12th grade and JEE-MAINS 2018 admit card. (only for B.E. admission).
• If there has been a lapse in studies, an affidavit from the Executive Magistrate or Notary is necessary.
• Character reference letter from the last college you attended.
• Medical Fitness Certificate issued by accredited medical facilities.
• Certification for the Reserved Category (if applicable)
