IIIT Surat Admission 2024 - Dates, Form, Online Process, Fees

IIIT Surat admission process for BTech involves candidates to qualify the JEE Main exam and registering for the JoSAA counselling process. JoSAA 2024 registration process starts from June 10, 2024 onwards. 

IIIT Surat offers admission to two courses only. One is a UG course and the second is a PhD course. The institute offers admission to BTech and PhD. Students need to meet the eligibility criteria and qualify the required entrance exam for IIIT Surat admission. 

A set of eligibility rules are declared by the institute that monitors a candidate’s admission. The candidates who do not qualify the eligibility criteria of IIIT Surat will not be given admission in the institute. It is advised to go through the conditions thoroughly before applying for any course in IIIT Surat. The eligibility criteria are explained in detail below.

• The student seeking admission must have qualified his/her class 12th final exams in the year that he/she is planning to take admission in IIIT Surat or in the year previous to that. The age of the student should be 25 years or less in the year he/she is taking admission in the institute if the student belongs to the general category. It is mandatory for the student to have had three subjects in his/her class 12th subjects- Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. These are compulsory and should be the core subjects of the student’s class 12th curriculum. The student must have obtained a minimum of 75 percent marks in the compulsory subjects that are mentioned in the point above.
• In case of an international student applying, he/she should have at least 60 percent marks or 6.50 CGPA on a scale that is of 10 points. The student should have completed his/her schooling from a recognized school or board. The student should have a minimum total valid score of 1800 in the SAT Subject Tests (Subjects: Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics Level 2).

IIIT Surat Selection Process 2024

It is obligatory for the candidate to appear for the national level engineering entrance exam, JEE Mains, in the same year as the one in which the student wants to take admission. The student must have obtained a valid rank in the entrance exam of JEE Mains to be considered eligible for admission. The student will have to apply for the JEE Mains exam offline or online and within the deadline given.

After the JEE Mains results are issued, the student will have to apply at IIIT Surat if the rank secured by him/her is within the cutoff given by the institute. The student will receive a call letter from the institute if he/she qualifies the eligibility and will have to appear for the counseling procedure at IIIT Surat.
