Overall The college is situated at Tripura which is one a state located in the Northeast India, it is exactly located at Kunjaban which is just 3-4 kilometers away from the main city centre Agartala.The College offers MBBS course which is an UnderGraduate medical degree, college also offers MD/MS course which is Post Graduate Medical degree for which to get admission the candidate must get qualify and get selected through the counselling in the medical extrance exam called NEET UG For MBBS and NEET PG / NEXT( soon to be implemented as per news) for MD/MS.

Placement The student after the graduation in MBBS gets a medical degree and can work as a doctor(MO,JR,etc.) in any hospital,PHC,CHC,Private clinics etc. Or can pursue post graduate degree for further speciality, after MD/MS candidate can join as SR, etc.in the particular department that the candidate has graduated.

Infrastructure The Agartala Government Medical College is attached with Govind Ballabh Pant Hospital(GBP Hospital) which a state government hospital. The College campus is pretty big and the college building is upto 4th floor or 5 story building. All the pretty clinical and para clinical departments are located in the college building and all the clinical departments are located in the hospital building.The college also has elevator and also has entrance for wheel chair. There are 5 lecture theatre in the college all with AC, one big exam hall and a central library for the college. There is also Bank and ATM inside the college campus.

Hostel The Hostel for undergraduates of the college is just few meters ( just a 1-2 minutes walk)away from the college building. There is also separate hostel for UG Intern Doctors and Post Graduate students. The hostel provides Single seater and Triple seater room for undergraduate students. About the daily meal is twice a day.
