NEET EWS Category Cutoff Marks 2026 are expected to be 720-138. A safe score to get a seat in the Government Medical College will be significantly higher through the AQI quota and a little less through the state quota. If you want to secure a seat in a top Government Medical College of a busy state like Delhi, then you need to secure at least 670 + marks. Since NEET 2026 was on a easy to moderate side, the cut-off marks are expected to go up.

NEET 2026 EWS Category Expected Qualifying Cutoff

The NEET qualifying score is completely different from a safe score. A Qualifying score is the number of marks required to pass NEET. The expected qualifying cut-off for EWS is the 50th percentile, with marks ranging from 720 to 138. If you achieve marks between this range, then you will be eligible for counselling, but a seat in a government college is not guaranteed.

NEET 2026 EWS Expected Cutoff for Government Medical Colleges: AIQ

Now, to secure a seat in a government medical college, you are required to have a set number of marks according to the cutoff released by that particular college. There are two quotas through which you can get admission in government colleges: the AQI and the State Quota. 15% seats are reserved for AQI, which is the All India Rank achieved by candidates based on their marks.

Seats are limited in AQI, the cut-off is higher, and there are fewer chances of securing a seat with a low score. Anywhere near 650 is a safe score for government medical colleges; however, you still need to achieve more than 670 for AIIMS or top GMCs.

NEET 2026 EWS State Quota Expected Cutoff

85% seats are reserved for the state quota. Even with a reservation, it can be quite difficult to secure a seat in a government medical college for popular states like Delhi, UP, etc. The cutoff marks for each state will differ based on the density of the candidates in that state. You can expect the following cutoffs for EWS State Quota:

State Name Predicted Cutoff Admission Probability
Delhi, Rajasthan, UP 610 + Highly Competitive
Maharashtra, West Bengal, Bihar 580 + Moderately Competitive
Himachal Pradesh, North Eastern States 540 + Low Cutoff States

Factors Influencing NEET 2026 EWS Cutoff and Inflation

Several factors influence the NEET EWS Category Cutoff Marks 2026 Prediction, such as:

  • Difficulty: NEET 2026 was on a easy to moderate scale, so the cut-off marks are expected to go up since more candidates will perform better.

  • More Aspirants: More and more aspirants are appearing for NEET each passing year, which makes the competition tougher.

  • Reservation: 10% reservation is provided for the EWS category, which greatly influences the cut-off and seat allocation.

NEET EWS Category Cutoff Marks 2026 are expected to go up this year, along with the safe score. As more aspirants appear every year, the competition is tough.
