A.S. College For Women Admission 2024 - Dates, Form, Online Process, Fees

The college has Post Graduation in Sociology affiliated to Panjab University. Addmission to M.A. Semster-I is open to the students according to the following criteria:-

1.    50% marks obtained in Aggregate of Graduation OR

2.    45% in the Subject of Sociology As the case may be

The admission shall be open to a candidate who has passed B.Sc.(Honours,School)/B.A/ B.Sc(Honours) in Mathematics or B.A./B.Sc.(Pass) examination with the subject of Mathematics having either at least 50% marks in the aggregate or 45% marks in the subjects of Mathematics.

 

The Bachelor's Degree under 10,+2,+3 system of examination of P.U. Chandigarh with at least 50% marks in any discipline 

A candidate joining B. Com. part-I class should have obtained aggregate marks (including the marks in the subject in which he has been placed under compartment, theory and practical taken together; provided the candidate has obtained at least 20% marks in the subject of compartment) in the +2 Examination, as detailed below: 
(a) +2 Commerce group with at least 40% marks in the aggregate. 
(b) +2 any group (other than commerce group) with one or more of the following subjects:- 
1) Commerce (2) Accountancy (3) Economics (4) Mathematics (5) Business Organization and Management (6) Book Keeping and Accountancy 

The eligibility of the students falling under category (b) above shall be determined as under: 
i) those who have passed with 3 of the above subjects ---45%marks in the aggregate; 
ii) those who have passed with 2 of the above subjects-- 50% marks in the aggregate; 
iii) those who have passed with 1 of the above subjects-- 55%marks in the aggregate.(c) +2 any group (other than commerce group) including the Humanities group with none of the subjects as in (b) above with at least 60% marks in the aggregate 

Passed 10+2 in any discipline with at least 50% marks .The candidate must have passed mathematics upto 10th level

Passed 10+2 in any discipline with at least 50% marks.

Passed senior secondary examination or is placed compartment in one subject only of senior secondary examination,provided he/she gets 33% marks in the aggregate and at least 20% marks in subject of compartment. Mathematics can be taken by a student who have passed it at the 10+2 level. 

The Bachelor's Degree under 10,+2,+3 system of examination of P.U. Chandigarh with at least 50% marks in any discipline
