BM Birla College of Nursing, Kolkata does not offer a Diploma in Cardio Thoracic Nursing course but rather it offers a Diplomate course in this specialization. It is a DNB super speciality course that is taught in the institute for 3 years with practical training. There are two seats available in the degree course and students have to pass MS/ DNB in general surgery to qualify for admission. Further, the course is awarded by the NBE authorities and it is considered equivalent to post-graduate & post-doctoral programs.
