HOSTEL:-There are separate hostels for boys and girls. Girls' hostel is situated in the college campus itself. It is surrounded by evergreen trees, gardens and sprawling lawns. Each student is provided with separate cot, almirah, locker and reading table. Filtered and purified water is supplied. Uninterrupted Power supply is assured. A 125 KVA generator gives 24-hour power backup for students for their regular studies without any interruption.Separate facilities are available for receiving visitors.A common recreation hall with TV, Newspapers and periodicals is provided for the students to meet and interact. A full time lady warden, deputy wardens and round the clock guards are provided for the safety and security of the students. Books and stationeries are available in the shop in the campus exclusively for the students.CANTEEN:-Modern kitchen with Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), steam cooking, mechanised dish wash, fly proof coverage and scientific method of disposal of kitchen waste.The college mess is surrounded by green lawn. Safe drinking water and sterilized wares are provided. Food items are hygienically prepared and kept in suitable containers maintaining hot / cold as appropriate. Students are free to choose menu their choice.The canteen is maintained by the Trust on a ‘no loss, no gain' basis. Besides hosteliers, day scholars and staff also utilise this facility.TRANSPORT FACILITIES:-College buses are available for day scholars from different parts of Chennai. The college buses are also used for educational and tour programmes.The college conducts educational tours. Herbal collection, herbal identification, visiting other Ayurveda colleges, hospitals, pharmacies and Government Herbal Gardens are the main objectives of educational tours.SPORTS:-Facilities for cricket, volleyball, football, badminton and other events are available within the campus.
Annual sports events enable the students to exhibit their excellence in sports. Inter-collegiate and inter-state competitions are promoted.HERBAL GARDEN:-In the college campus itself more than 500 medicinal plants were grown including the rare medicinal plants. Apart from this management has separate herbal garden in Sriperumbudur itself where more than 100 species are cultivated and the same used for medicine preparation. Another Herbal Garden is located in Kolli hills. A Hilly area where rare species of medicinal plants are identified and are grown by the management for students learning.LIBRARY:-A well equipped modern spacious library with four separate halls, one each for reference section, reading hall, Computer section, Journal & Tradition Science Section where palm leaf manuscripts are preserved. Our college is one of the manuscripts partner centre in Tamil Nadu recognized by National Mission for manuscripts, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. The Library has more than 5000 Books. Journals & Magazines news papers are subscribed to meet the need of the students. Stocks of CD's & DVD's are maintained separately. If is an important learning centre for teachers, students and researchers .MANUSCRIPT LIBRARY:-A rare collection of palm leaf scripts are preserved and maintained. It contains various subjects ranging from, Ayurvedic medicine preparation technique and treatment of diseases, through varma (marma) science. All the palm leaf scripts were documented in a standard format. The informations is stored in computers and in CD's.FREE MEDICAL CAMPS:-Community Medicine is part of the curriculum. It inculcates a sense of social commitment to reach the underprivileged. Dharma Medical Research and Charitable Trust, in fulfilment of its aims, conducts weekly free medical camps in the villages around Sriperumbudur. Doctors of the Dharma Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, CRRIs and final year B.A.M.S. students participate. The Trust has also adopted some of the nearby destitute homes and provide them free medical service. This helps the B.A.M.S. students to enhance their practical skill as well.
