NIT Manipur Campus Facilities: Hostel Fees, Infrastructure, Address

With a 341 acres campus spread across the picturesque landscape of Langol Hills, National Institute of Technology, Manipur is a centre of academic excellence in the field of Science and Technology. NIT Manipur has adequate infrastructural facilities for smooth conducting of the courses. Here is a list of facilities offered by NIT Manipur:

Hostel: NIT Manipur consists of separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls. As of now, the institute has one girl’s hostel and two boys hostels with a limited number of seats. The institute is all set to receive more hostels within the campus itself for which the master plan and construction process has already been initiated.

Medical Facilities: NIT Manipur medical unit is well equipped to provide medical facilities to the staff and students of the campus. The institute has appointed a medical officer who is assisted by the supporting staff. NIT Manipur medical unit is also well prepared to shift a patient to the nearby Regional Institute of Medical Science (RIMS), Imphal if needed.

Transportation Facilities: The Institute is about to deploy bus services during the working hours between the permanent and temporary campus locations. NIT Manipur has also increased the number of private vehicles and private buses for better connectivity.

Other than these facilities, NIT Manipur has in-campus banking and post office facilities. The Lagol campus of NIT Manipur has ICICI, SBI and Bank of Baroda branches and ATM machines. The institute has a computer laboratory, centralised library, laboratories comprising the latest equipment which have high-speed LAN connectivity.

The institute has both Boys' hostel and Girls' hostel facilities. Presently there are two Boys' hostel and one Girl's hostel. However, seats are limited at present. In coming year, more hostels will be available in the campus itself for which master plan has already been prepared. the process of construction of hostels for both boys and girls has been initiated.Students proposing to stay in hostel are required to fill up a form for admission. The prescribed form is available with the officials of the office of chief warden.

SPIC MACAY 

A weeklong sports meet is held annually that encourages students to develop sporting attributes in the various sports of the country. The major events conducted in the meet are cricket, football, volleyball, kabaddi, table tennis, various athletic events and a number of other team and individual sports. The students have participated actively bringing laurels to the Institute in All India Inter-NIT Athletic Meet Cum Cultural Meet at NIT Rourkela from 23rd -25th Jan. 2015, All India Inter- NIT Football Tournament at NIT –Warangal from 5th- 8th Feb, 2015, All India Inter –NIT Table Tennis and Chess Competition at NIT Silchar from 16th -18th Oct 2015 and All India Inter-NIT Football Tournament at NIT Rourkela from 12th - 14th February, 2016
