Infrastructure

Good infrastructural facilities are the foundation upon which a college may carry out its functions fruitfully. We are proud to say that the college houses an array of facilities which take care of the basic human as well as the academic and recreational needs of its students. Our facilities employ the most recent technologies to ensure the comfort and well-being of students and also provide them ways to be physically and mentally engaged. It also gives them a good platform to interact with their peers, teachers and important members of the society so that they may learn more and grow more.

Students Activities & Clubs

Srishti - The E-cell (Entrepreneur Cell)

The Entrepreneurship Cell aims to ignite creative thinking and nurture entrepreneurial instincts in students. The Cell hopes to achieve this by conducting stimulating workshops, competitions and interactive sessions with eminent personalities who are role models when it comes to business development. The Cell also conducts an annual Entrepreneurs’ Day in which students market their products both at stalls and through digital marketing.

The Cell's ultimate vision is to create independent business persons out of interested students so that they not only become self-employed but also become capable of providing gainful, fulfilling employment to others and thereby benefit society at large. E-cell is associated with NEN or the National Entrepreneurship Network in organizing meaningful programs in the college.

NCC club

NCC aims to groom students into models of discipline and develops in them character, leadership, a secular outlook and the spirit of selfless service to the nation. Functioning since 1978, our NCC Army Wing is an infantry unit under 2 Karnataka Battalion, Karnataka and Goa directorate. The large NCC unit of the college, numbering 160 cadets presently, is led by a highly experienced officer who is twice recipient of the Best NCC Officer in the State award. Parade practice is held every weekend in the college quadrangle. Our cadets excel in complex drill formations. They have represented the state at the Republic Day parade in New Delhi. A number of them have gone on to occupy distinguished positions in the Indian Armed Forces .

NSS club

NSS encourages students to become socially responsible citizens and helps them realize and experience the joy of selfless service to the community.

We can proudly claim that our college has an outstanding NSS unit. The many prestigious awards it has won speak for themselves. The college NSS unit has recently taken up an important initiative in working with local Residents’ Welfare Association to spread awareness regarding waste management.

  • Former NSS officer Sri Pratap Lingaiah has received the Indira Gandhi National Award for the Best NSS Unit and Officer in the country 2013-14.
  • NSS cadet Srinivasa V has received the Best NSS Volunteer State award 2014-15.
  • Unit has been adjudged the best NSS unit in Karnataka 2011-12.
  • Former NSS Officer Sri Pratap Lingaiah has received the Best NSS Officer State Award 2011- 12.

YRC club

The Youth Red Cross unit of our college has always played a proactive role in imbibing and spreading medical and health consciousness among our students and the general public. The unit conducts a mega blood donation campaign every year to reiterate its core belief that donating blood is tantamount to giving life. The YRC also conducts crash courses in first aid for the benefit of our students as well as the staff. It conducts medical check-up camps for staff and students.
