The Colleges have seven Audio visual halls for conducting seminars and other Co-curricular and extra curricular activities. All the class rooms are equipped with LCD projectors and necessary teaching aids. The student co-operative store supplies all text books, notebooks, records, observations, drawing boards, mini-drafters etc. The stationery stores supply all drawing sheets, graph sheets, polar graph sheets, pen, pencil and other essential materials. The store which is situated in the campus provides items for day to day use. We have separate sections for printing and binding lab manuals, note book materials, mini-project reports, Inplant training reports and final year project reports at free of cost Movies are screened for hostel students in the open air theatre. Free washing and ironing facility is provided for the students. We have a bakery which provides delicious items for the students. The juice stall which is attached to the campus quenches the thirst of students. The colleges have a Chapel, Mosque and a Temple (Trinity) to cater to the religious needs of our students. The colleges have fully airconditioned library spread over a total area of 45000 / 40000 sq.ft. The Central library and the Book Bank house 2,17,505 Volumes and 29,618 Titles. The Central library has 16,485 titles and 44,379 volumes whereas the Book bank has 13,133 Titles and 1,73,126 volumes. The colleges have subscribed 179 National Journals. The students can also have access to more than 3813 e-journals. There are more than 367 e-books available for ready reference. The e-resorces include IEEE, ASME, Springerlink, J-Gate, Proquest, ASTM, McGrawHill Access Engineering, Nature, Science Direct and Scientific American. The Indian bank branches in the colleges assist the students in their financial transactions. We have two separate ATMs functioning for boys and girls. The colleges have two sophisticated Gymnasiums for boys and girls. The colleges have two beauty parlours for girls and saloon for boys. We have intercom facilities which connect everyone in the college. In the hostel, every room has intercom connections. We have a fitness centre with a qualified staff to monitor and guide the students. A qualified physician assisted by a staff nurse takes care of the sick in the college. The college orchestra comprising of our own instruments and students proves to be a platform to display the talents of upcoming musicians.

SJIT Hostel & Fees Structure

Boys Hostel:

The college has hostel facilities for boys. Exclusively, two blocks are provided for the boys. The boys hostel is of 1,71,000 sq.ft and has 244 rooms spread over three floors. Water heaters will be switched on from October to February 
 

Girls Hostel:

The college has separate hostel for girls. Exclusively, two blocks are provided for girls. The girls hostel is of 1,23,000 sq.ft and has 164 rooms spread over three floors. Water heaters will be switched on from October to February. 
 

Common facility both Boys and Girls:

  • Laundromat facility is provided to all hostlers. 

  • Newspapers are provided to each individual room. 

  • Intercom faculty to all rooms is enabled there by parents can directly get connected to their ward’s room. 

  • Outing for hostlers is provided, once in a month. 

  • A separate hostel block is provided for UG first year students.

NSS Club -

NSS Activities The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a permanent youth programme under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India and funded by, Government of Tamilnadu.The scheme was launched in Mahatma Gandhijis centenary year, 1969.University space level committee plans for the academic year and affiliated college NSS units execute them. NSS is a voluntary association of young people in colleges, working for a campus community linkage. The cardinal principle of the NSS programme is that it is organized by the students themselves, and both students and teachers through their combined participation in community service, get a sense of involvement in the tasks of nation building. In our college, one unit of NSS are functioning well with a volunteer’s strength of fifty. Our institution received “Tobacco Free Educational Institute” status. NSS Motto “NOT ME, BUT YOU” Activities are conducted regularly they are as follows *  Personality development programme. *  Campus beautification. *  Soft skill development programme. *  Computer coaching class for school children. *  Voluntary services for orphanage and old age home inmates. *  Celebration of NSS day every year on 24th September.
