Fashion Technology Students of JCC Rohini Sector 3 Visited NSDC

The students of Fashion Technology went to the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) on September 24, 2021. They visited the Apparel Made Ups and Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council to learn about the different kinds of industrial machinery and get a quick exposure of the working method in the fashion industry.

NSDC is a not-for-profit public limited company that was set up by the Ministry of Finance. It aims to promote skill development and develop the right models to support, enhance and coordinate private sector initiatives.

Faculty of JCC Received Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Best Teacher Award 2021

Dr. Priyanka Goel who is the Assistant Professor at JCC has received the Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Best Teacher Award 2021 in Human Resource Management. The institute congratulated the faculty for her relentless efforts and huge contribution. 

Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Best Teacher Award is offered every year on September 05, 2021, on Teacher's day. The whole purpose of the award is to recognise the services of the best teachers and encourage them for their hard work.

JCC Organised Faculty Development Program on "Qualitative Data Analysis using NVivo And Insights into Quality Publication"

JCC Rohini Sector 3 organised a 3-day long faculty development program on "Qualitative Data Analysis using NVivo And Insights into Quality Publication". Interested faculty, research scholars and corporate professionals participated in the online program from August 02 to 04, 2021. The registration fee for this short online course was Rs. 600/- and the last date to apply was July 31, 2021. The entire course was hosted through Google Meet and at the end of the course, e-certificates were provided to all the registered attendees.

Dr. Sumit Narula and Dr. Jasmeet Kaur were two experts who imparted the knowledge on "Qualitative Data Analysis using NVivo And Insights into Quality Publication". The former expert is a Director of Amity School of Communication, Amity University, Madhya Pradesh while the latter one is the Associate Professor of Marketing at the Pearl Academy, Delhi. 

Informative topics such as identifying fake, cloned and predatory journals by using internet tools and criteria used to identify the fake journals were covered on the first day. The second and third days were very resourceful as qualitative research and NVivo as a qualitative research tool were discussed in detail. Participants were also introduced to the step by step process of How to use NVivo.

Academic Club of JCC Rohini Sector 3 Conducted Documentary Film Making Competition for All Departments

A documentary filmmaking competition for all the departments was conducted by the academic club of JCC-JCC on July 17, 2021. Interested students had to register themselves before July 14, 2021 by filling up a Google Form through a link that was mentioned on the official website of the institute. The topic of the competition was 'Technological Trajectory' and the sub-topics were Cyber Bullying, Social Networking, Mental Wellness, Loneliness, Isolation, Digital in Me, Online Education and Technology & Education.

To participate in the Documentary Film Making Competition, students had to form a team of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 5 people. The maximum time limit for the film was between 5-10 Minutes. The contest was held through an online mode and students had to upload their final documentary film on the link present on the official website. The winner was chosen from the entries made before the prescribed deadline.

CAT 2023 Cutoff for Top Private MBA Colleges for General, SC/ST, OBC

Clearing the CAT 2023 Cutoff is a hurdle that every MBA aspirant wants to clear. Apart from the IIMs, the CAT scorecard is also accepted by many top private colleges in India for Master of Business Administration courses, such as XLRI, JBIMS, MDI, SPJIMR, NITIE, IMT Ghaziabad, and more. Only the candidates who clear the CAT 2023 cutoff criteria set by specific institutes will get a shot at admission. The average CAT cutoff for MBA colleges like XLRI and MDI is 94, for SPJIMR - 92, and for NITIE - 95.

The CAT 2023 cutoff released by private colleges is different for candidates belonging to different categories. Due to the reservation available in some private colleges, the cutoff for admission for reserved category candidates is much lower than that for unreserved seats. However, for standalone MBA colleges that do not offer any reservation, the cutoff will be the same for all of the candidates. The CAT cutoff for MBA colleges is expected to be released in the second week of January 2024. Candidates will have to refer to the CAT 2023 notification once it is released to know more about the CAT reservation policy.

What After MICAT 2024 Result?

'What after MICAT 2024 result' is one of the most common questions among candidates seeking admission into PGDM-C and PGDM courses offered by Mudra Institute of Communications. It is mandatory for each candidate to have taken at least one of the three exams: CAT 2023, XAT 2024 orGMAT 2022 onwards. After the MICAT result is announced, MICA releases the GE & PI shortlist prepared on the basis of a candidate's score in CAT/XAT/GMAT & MICAT. Based on the candidates' composite performance in MICAT, CAT/XAT/GMAT, and GE & PI, a final merit list is prepared and seats are allotted to them.

MICAT 2024 results for Phase I and Phase II will be released on December 21, 2023, and February 15, 2024, respectively. MICA will release the GE & PI shortlist for PGDM-C/ PGDM in the third week of February 2024, which candidates can check by logging into the official website (mica.ac.in) using their Login ID and Password.
