The Consortium of NLUs has released the CLAT first selection merit list 2026 on the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in on January 7, 2026.  The NLU-wise seat allotment list will have the names of the eligible candidates, ranks and categories. The CLAT 2026 merit list is released separately for the UG and PG courses. The candidates whose names will appear on the 1st allotment list will need to pay the confirmation fee for Freeze and Float options and complete their admission by the deadline. A total of 5 seat allotment lists will be released for CLAT 2026 for different National Law Universities (NLUs). Once the CLAT 2026 counselling registration is over, the Consortium releases the CLAT first allotment list 2026 of eligible candidates. TThe CLAT 2026 cutoff for NLSIU Bangalore round 1 is 1 to 101 for General category students, for SC it is 384 to 3072, for ST it is 357 to 5000, for OBC it is 128 to 1018, for EWS it is 154 to 702.  TThe CLAT cutoff is the minimum rank that aspirants need to get into their desired NLU. NLU Bangalore is one of the leading law colleges in India which has high cutoff marks as compared to other law institutes. The CLAT Consortium will release the CLAT 2026 cutoff marks for all the participating National Law Universities after each round of counselling.

In accordance with the Consortium's rules, every document must be uploaded and submitted in its original format throughout the verification phase. Candidates should avoid last-minute uncertainty and guarantee a seamless admissions process by being aware of the necessary documents in advance. It is crucial to have original certificates, scanned copies, and attested copies ready long before counseling starts. Candidates can successfully obtain their provisional admissions and proceed toward enrolling in their desired law school without encountering any administrative challenges if they have a clear understanding of the document requirements. For every CLAT 2026 exam candidate getting ready for the counseling procedure, a comprehensive checklist of papers is therefore essential.
