GRIET Admission 2026 - Dates, Form, Online Process, Fees

To get into a BTech programme at GRIET, candidates need to take the TS EAMCET exam and score well. The TS EAMCET admit card has released on April 29, 2024. The exam will be held from May 7 to 11, 2024 (revised date). Candidates who qualify for the exam will be able to sit in the counselling process for GRIET admission.

B.Tech programmes are offered at the Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology. GRIET publishes a cut-off list based on the outcomes of entrance tests to give admission to the B.Tech and M.Tech programmes. EAMCET (UG), PGECET, OR GATE are the entry tests taken into consideration (PG). Eligibility Criteria for Admission to B.Tech Programme

Admissions to the Institute are made along with the other Engineering colleges in the state through a common entrance test (EAMCET) conducted by the Govt. of Telangana State.

The admission pattern to B. Tech is as follows: The minimum qualification for admission to the first year of the B. Tech course is a pass in the Intermediate (10 + 2) conducted by the board of Intermediate education, Govt. of Telangana State or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects.

• 70 % of the seats are allotted based on merit in the EAMCET.
• 30 % of the seats are earmarked for Management/NRI candidates.
• In addition to the above, Diploma holders are admitted in the second year of B. Tech to the extent of 10% of intake based on the merit in the ECET, under the lateral entry scheme.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission to M.Tech Programme

Candidates who are not sponsored must have a B.E/B.Tech degree or its equivalent from an AICTE-approved institution, as well as a valid GATE score/PGECET rank. Sponsored Candidates must hold a B.E/B.Tech degree or its equivalent from an AICTE-approved institution, with a minimum of 55% in aggregate. The candidate must have a minimum of two years of full-time work experience in the relevant sector from a recognised company/industry / Company / Educational or Research Institution / Any Department of Government / Autonomous organisation. A letter from the employer noting that the individual is being sponsored for admission must be provided. The company should also state that the candidate will not be pulled midway through the programme.

Admission will be made through GATE, by the convenor PGECET. When GATE Candidates are not available, admission will be given to PGECET-qualified candidates on a merit basis. Admission for the sponsored category will be made based on merit. Preference will be given to GATE-qualified candidates. AICTE Scholarships are available to eligible GATE Qualified Candidates.

GRIET Hyderabad  M.Tech admission through PGECET/GATE scores

• Candidates have to apply and appear for PGECET/GATE exam.
• The merit list is prepared by the college authorities on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in the PGECET or GATE exam.
• Candidates have to participate in the PG counselling as per the merit list.
• When the seats are allotted, students have to get the documents verified and pay the required fee.

The candidates who want to seek admission in GRIET have to qualify in the EAMCET ( Engineering ,Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test ) examination conducted by Govt. of Telangana . To be eligible for appearing in the EAMCET examination, the student should have passed the 10 + 2 with Maths,Physics and Chemistry as their main stream. The candidates should attend the counselling for admission into the Engineering colleges conducted by the Convenor. Based on the rank obtained in EAMCET, candidates can opt for GRIET as per the availability of the college and branch at the time of counselling.
