How do NID and IIT BDes Programs Differ in Industry Exposure

If you compare IIT BDes with NID courses, your decision relies on what type of designer you want to be. In NID, you are exposed to a hands-on approach where creativity and experimentation are utilised for learning. The graduates are hired from companies like TCS, Infosys, and Titan, with average packages going up to around INR 18 lakh for the top students. Conversely, IITs are technology blended with design thinking, readying you for product-based and industrial design careers. Microsoft and Samsung hire from IITs extensively and pay the median salary of INR 5-7 lakh. Go for NID if you enjoy artistic freedom and actual design exposure, or IIT if you enjoy a solid technical grounding and overseas opportunities.

Dear student,

ICAT Design and Media College conducts the aptitude test of all the students who want to get admission. Keep in mind that the aptitude test depends on the qualifying exam. For example, the UG course admission aptitude test will include questions at class 10 and 12 levels, while for PG courses, questions will be at class 12 and graduation levels. In the UG aptitude test the question list includes questions from logical reasoning, general aptitude, Mathematics (class 10 Level) and Physics (class 10 Level). After that, ICAT Design and Media College conducts the personal interview, which usually consists of questions to test out your personality and willingness to join the college.
