IIT Ropar PhD Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for pursuing a Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) degree at IIT Ropar are as follows: Candidates must have a Master's degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university or institute, with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale or 60% marks. In addition, they should have a valid GATE/NET score or should have completed an equivalent national-level examination. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree from IITs with a CGPA of 8.0 or above are also eligible to apply. Furthermore, candidates who have completed their Master's degree from IITs with a CGPA of 8.0 or above are exempted from the GATE/NET requirement. The final selection is based on a written test/interview conducted by the institute.
