- For deposits at other branches of Indian Bank or Bank of India, generate a Fees Payment Challan from jmi.ac.in/feepayment first.
- Carry the challan to the bank and complete the deposit. Retain the bank acknowledgement.
Important Fee Payment Rules:
- Fees are paid for one academic session at a time. On request, the Dean may allow two installments for the first year only.
- Late fee of Rs. 500 applies if fee is paid within 15 days after the due date.
- Late fee of Rs. 1,000 applies if fee is paid between 16 days and 1 month after the due date.
- The student’s name will be removed from the list of enrolled students if the fee is not paid within one month. Re-admission requires VC permission and Rs. 1,000 late fee.
- If the last date falls on a holiday, payment is accepted the next working day without fine.
Jamia Millia Islamia Fees Refund Policy
JMI fee refund policy for 2026-27 is governed by the UGC Notification dated 27 October 2025. Refunds are processed based on the time at which notice of withdrawal is received by the university. The caution money is refundable only after examination results are announced; if unclaimed for more than 1 year after results, it is credited to the Central Scholarship Fund.

Additional Refund Rules:
- Application fee is non-refundable under all circumstances.
- If a student does not claim the credit balance within 1 year of leaving JMI, the amount is transferred to the Central Scholarship Fund.
- If the fee structures of two programs are the same, the fee is adjusted when a student shifts from one program to another. If structures differ, full fee of the new program must be paid; old program fee is refunded.
- For foreign students: 80% refund if withdrawal occurs within 1 month of admission.
