The Jamia Millia Islamia admission form 2026 is available only online at the JMI admission portal: admission.jmi.ac.in. There is no physical/printed application form. The application process has two phases: Registration and Entrance Application Submission.

1. Visit the JMI admission portal at admission.jmi.ac.in.
2. Register by entering your basic profile. Keep ready: a valid email ID, a passport-size photograph in JPG format (max 100 KB, white background), and a scanned signature in JPG format (max 100 KB).
3. After registration, an email with a unique code and login credentials will be sent to your registered email. Verify the email through the link provided.
4. Log in and apply for the program of your choice. A candidate can apply for multiple programmes by submitting separate forms and paying separate fees.

7. For programmes based on JEE Main / NATA / NEET / NCET, enter the respective application/registration number in the JMI form before submitting.
8. During the form editing window (April 1–6, 2026), corrections (except Name and Date of Birth) can be made through the portal.

Candidates of Kashmiri Migrant category must submit a certificate from the Divisional Commissioner of the concerned State/UT. Candidates from J&K must submit a domicile certificate. NCC certificate holders seeking relaxation must get their certificate verified by the JMI NCC Office before admission.

• Kashmiri Migrants: Up to 5% seats are reserved over and above total intake
• EWS Reservation: JMI is a minority institution, so it is not required to implement 10% EWS quota, unlike many central universities.
• Seat Transfer Rule: If seats in Muslim Women or Muslim OBC/ST categories remain vacant, they are shifted to Muslim General category. Similarly, vacant PwD or internal seats can be transferred to the General category.
• Extra Seats (Supernumerary): Categories like sports quota or special cases may get seats over and above total intake, but this is not applicable to all courses like Engineering.
