Overall: Best engineering college with great teachers and amazing infrastructure/ campus . kj Somaiya has the best placements record as compared to the other colleges in Mumbai. $No dislikes as this is the best college for me and that is the reason i am here . there are very few students coming from different states
Placement: The internship opportunities provided are amazing and ample for every student to take part in some work-related activities. On top of that, the placements are also excellent with top companies visiting this college every year including Microsoft, Infosys, Cisco, TCS, etc. The average salary package is also good comprising a range of 7 to 9 Lakhs.
Infrastructure: K. J. Somaiya Institute of Technology (KJSIT), was established by the Somaiya Trust in the year 2001 at Ayurvihar campus, Sion. The College is housed in a G+8 storeyed building and in the International Standard of Riturang building with airy classrooms, hi-tech laboratories, library, auditorium, administrative office, canteen, common rooms, etc.
Faculty: Online lectures as well as online exams are the best along with extremely helpful and easy going faculty. Cons-Very tight deadlines aren’t the most friendly things in the life of a student.Some of the faculty are a little wonky as well
Hostel: So Basically, there are two types of Hostels here. The polytechnic and the SIMSR ( Management ). I opted for the SIMR one so can only review that one. The hostel is a bit on the expensive side. It's around 2 lacs for a year ( including the mess ). But I find it worth it. The Hostel is clean and rooms are spacious with a personal bathroom attached. Also, Cleaning of Rooms is done on regular basis i.e. Once in a week or two. Surprisingly, the mess tools were not bad at all. Also, it's pure vegetarian.
