Dear Student,

Yes, you can select Computer Science as a pedagogy (method) subject at Karim City College, Jamshedpur, provided you have a background in BCA, MCA, or B.E./ B.Tech. The college allows students with a tech-heavy degree to pair Computer Science with a second subject, usually Mathematics or Physical Science, as per the university guidelines. However, to qualify, you must have studied Computer Science during your graduation or post graduation degree. The selection is done during the second semester of the two-year program.

We hope this answers your query. If you have further queries regarding college/ course admission, you can write to hello@collegedekho.com or call our toll free number 18005729877, or simply fill out our Common Application Form on the website.

If you’re looking to take admission in BA at Karim City College, Mango (Jamshedpur), here’s the up-to-date info:

  1. Admissions for the 4-year UG programmes (for session 2025–29) began on May 24 via the Chancellor’s portal
  2. The 1st merit list came out on June 25, and admissions started from June 26
  3. 2nd and 3rd merit lists are scheduled for July 8 and July 15, respectively.
  4. That means you can still apply and get admitted through the 3rd list by July 15.

Right now, you can apply through the Chancellor’s portal or the college’s admission site. Just fill out the form and upload your documents—like 10th and 12th marksheets, photo ID, and a passport-size photo. After that, pay the application or admission fee. Keep checking the merit lists, especially the one coming on July 8, and if your name is there, follow the instructions carefully. Try to finish the admission process by July 15.
