NIT Mizoram - Admission 2024, Fees, Courses, Placement, Ranking

NIT Mizoram BTech admission process will start with JoSAA registration which will begin on June 10, 2024. Students will need their JEE Main 2024 results for JoSAA counselling. The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the JEE Main 2024 Session 2 result for paper one along with NTA scores on April 24. To access the result and the score, students need to use their JEE Main Session 2 application number, date of birth and security pin on the NTA website. NIT Mizoram cutoff 2024 is expected to be released in the second week of July 2024 by JoSAA. The number of applicants who appeared in the JEE Main 2024 session two exams was 10,67,959.

Parliament designated NIT Mizoram as an Institute of National Importance. Initially, the NIT Mizoram courses included B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. B.Tech

• Applicants who wish to apply for admission to different B. Tech courses at the NIT Mizoram must pass the JEE Main entrance examination. 
• NIT Mizoram B.Tech aspirants who have passed class 12 in science stream with a mandatory mathematics subject from a recognised board can apply for B.Tech admissions at the NIT Mizoram.

M.Tech

• To be eligible to apply for M.Tech courses at NIT Mizoram applicants must have received at least 60% or 6.5 CGPA (out of 10) in B.E/B. Tech from a recognised university. 
• Candidates must have taken the GATE entrance examination.

PhD

• Candidates must complete their ME/ M.Tech or masters in relevant disciplines with 6.5 CGPA or 60% marks.
• Candidates must have taken GATE/NET. 

NIT Mizoram Application Process 

NIT Mizoram only accepts online applications for its PhD program. After JoSAA counselling, students must report to the NIT Mizoram centre on a specified date with the necessary documents for NIT Mizoram B.Tech admission. Similarly, for NIT Mizoram M.Tech admission, students must appear on the announced date following CCMT counselling.

How to Fill NIT Mizoram Application Form?

For B.Tech: Candidates must take JEE Main and JoSAA counselling to be admitted to the B.Tech program.

For M.Tech: Candidates seeking admission to the M.Tech program must first take the GATE exam, followed by institute-led counselling.

For PhD: Admissions to the PhD program are as follows:

• Step 1: Candidates must download the application form from the NIT Mizoram website.
• Step 2: Fill out the application form.
• Step 3: Choose a research topic.
• Step 4: Submit the application form.

NIT Mizoram BTech cutoff 2024 will be released in the second week of June 2024. The cutoffs are released in the form of opening and closing ranks for all the B.Tech programmes offered at the institute. The NIT Mizoram JoSAA cutoff is released separately for Home State (HS) and Other State (OS) quotas. 50% of seats are reserved for HS quota students and the other 50% for OS quota students.
