National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand is among the top National Institute of Technology present in the country. It is popularly known as NITUK, and the institute received approval from the Ministry of Human Resource Development under the Parliament Act 2009. Some of the top NIT Uttarakhand courses are B.Tech and M.Tech programmes in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Civil Engineering. NITUK also provides PhD programmes in various streams of Science, Humanities and Engineering.
NIT Uttarakhand admission 2025 is ongoing for various courses. For BTech admission, JEE Main 2025 has already been conducted and JoSAA counselling is currently ongoing, round 1 and 2 have already been conducted and round 3 results are to be declared on July 4, 2025. JEE Mains 2026 applications will start from November 2025 and the 1st session will be conducted in January, 2026. For MTech admissions, GATE registration will commence in August,2025 and exam will be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2025. Admission to PhD is based on the UGC NET score, which will be conducted in June 2026. The annual fee for BTech is Rs 1,55,400. NIT Uttarakhand fee for MTech/ME is Rs 1,40,000 annually. As per statistics mentioned on the official website, the NIT Uttarakhand placement for 2024 a total of 128 students were eligible to appear for the placement process. Out of them, a total of 91 were placed in the various companies that visited the campus. This placement data of successful candidates is 71% which is more than 20 % in comparison to the previous year's data. The average placement is Rs 10 lakh per annum while the NIT Uttarakhand highest package is Rs 20.6 lakh per annum.
