The GATE 2026 correction window is now active at gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Candidates can make necessary edits to their application forms through the GOAPS portal until November 3, 2025.
The registration for JEE Main 2026 is expected to begin on October 15, 2025, at jeemain.nta.nic.in and will remain open until November 2025. The Session 1 of the JEE Main 2026 exam is scheduled for January 2026, while Session 2 will take place in April 2026
The last date to apply for GATE 2026 for M.Tech and research program admissions has been extended to October 13, 2025, with the applicable late fee. The examination will be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026, and will be conducted in two sessions daily.
The registration for JEE Main 2026 is set to begin shortly on the official NTA website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The examination will be conducted in two sessions, scheduled for January and April 2026.
NIT Uttarakhand admission 2025 is ongoing for various courses. For BTech admission, JEE Main 2025 has already been conducted and JoSAA counselling is currently ongoing, round 1 and 2 have already been conducted and round 3 results are to be declared on July 4, 2025. JEE Mains 2026 applications will start from November 2025 and the 1st session will be conducted in January, 2026. For MTech admissions, GATE registration will commence in August,2025 and exam will be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2025.
NIT Uttarakhand offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in various fields related to Science and Technology. Applicants must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria laid down by the Institute for admission into these courses. The institute provides admission once the candidates have satisfied all the required criteria decided by the university. Admission to BTech will depend upon the scores in JEE Main entrance exam and scores in 12th scores. While scores in M.Tech will be based on the BE/ B.Tech degree percentage and GATE percentage. Final admission will be given after the completion of the selection process. Candidates will have to submit the application form after filling the required details once it is released on the official website. Additional details of the selection process are mentioned below.

Applicants with 75% marks in 10+2 from a recognised board are eligible to apply for B.Tech admission in NITUK. Admission to B.Tech courses will depend on the candidate’s performance in the JEE Main entrance examination. Qualifying marks for SC/ST applicants in 10+2 is 65%. Students of foreign nationals can also apply for B.Tech admission in NITUK under Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA).
Candidates looking for admission in B.Tech can go through the registration process on the official website of JEE Main. All the candidates will have to register themselves there in order to get eligible for admission to the B.Tech program of NIT Uttrakhand.
JOSAA will prepare an All India Rank combining the JEE Main score and class XII score of the candidate. The candidates are required to apply online for B.Tech admissions in NITUK via the centralised admission process conducted by JoSAA. 60% weightage will be given to the candidate’s JEE Main score and 40% weightage is given to class XII score by JoSAA while preparing the All India rank for B.Tech admissions. Final admission will be done on the basis of JOSAA counselling.
In order to be eligible to apply for MTech courses in NIT Uttarakhand, the applicant must possess a Bachelor’s degree in relevant stream from a recognised University. Eligible candidates must have a valid score in GATE qualifying exam which will be followed by Central Counselling under the guidelines of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). Candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST) will be offered 5% relaxation in qualifying exam marks. Only those candidates who have a valid GATE score can apply for MTech admission in NIT Uttarakhand.
Candidates who want to fill the application form need to visit the official website of NIT Uttarakhand. They can proceed to the application tab and may then fill all the mandatory fields available on the application form. After filling all the required details, the application needs to submit the application form with the required documents. Applicants may send the demand draft of the application fee of they may submit the application fee online through Net Banking/Credit Card / Debit Card. Some of the required documents are B.E/ BTech mark sheet, 10th/ 12th Mark sheet, Demand Draft, ID Proof and Passport size photographs.
Candidates who have appeared for the GATE entrance exam need to fill the application form before the last date. After that, candidates will be sorted out on the basis of scores in BTech or B.E degree. Selected candidates need to visit the college for a personal interview and group discussion. Final selection will depend upon the centralised counselling for MTech and scores in the GATE entrance examination, Candidates' individual performance in the group discussion and personal interview will also be considered.
