The placement cell of Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology (PIET) has placed 130 students even during the lockdown imposed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. These students have been placed through an online placement process. The institute has maintained a good record of placements in 2020 and around 87% if the students have been successfully placed in the campus placements.

With this, the 2020 placements of PIET have been concluded. Students of Over 100 companies had participated in the PIET campus placements and the students had received over 500 job offers during the 2019-20 placement session before the lockdown was put in place. The total number of companies that have recruited students from PIET has now increased to more than 120. The highest package received during the 2020 placements of PIET was Rs. 28 LPA, which was offered by Amazon. The highest international package of Rs. 24 LPA was offered by Facebook in PIET placements.
