REVA University Scholarship 2026

The RISE (REVA Initiative for Scholastic Excellence) Scholarship is REVA University's flagship scholarship programme. It is awarded based on the student's score in the REVA CET (REVA University's aptitude-based entrance exam conducted annually in April–June). A score of 95%+ from a Rural Government 10+2 / PUC College earns a 100% tuition fee waiver. Students not from a Rural Govt. 10+2 / PUC college need 95%+ for 50%, 85–94 for 30%, and 75–84 for 20%.

RISE Scholarship Continuation Criteria

Continuation of the RISE Scholarship in Year 2, Year 3, and Year 4 (for B.Tech) or subsequent years is subject to all three of the following conditions being met every semester:

• Minimum 90% attendance in all subjects in each semester
• Minimum 9.0 SGPA/CGPA in all subjects in each semester
• All subjects cleared in a single attempt — no backlogs permitted

If any condition is not met in a semester, the RISE Scholarship is discontinued for the following year. It does not get reinstated even if the student improves in subsequent semesters. Apply for the RISE Scholarship at the time of admission — it can't be claimed after the SRN (Student Registration Number) is generated, except in cases where results were pending at the time of admission.

How to Qualify for the RISE Scholarship

REVA CET is the qualifying exam for the RISE Scholarship. The application for REVA CET 2026 was opened from January 26, 2026. The exam is conducted online, once a year, in May (tentative). There's no separate scholarship application — the RISE Scholarship is determined automatically based on REVA CET score at the time of admission.

REVA University Merit Scholarships are awarded based on marks in qualifying examinations (10+2 / equivalent) or scores in national/state-level entrance exams. Merit scholarships are available in two slabs — National/NRI/OCI/POI category and REVAite category (siblings of existing REVA students or alumni). REVAite students get a higher scholarship percentage. The minimum scholarship amount for REVAite category is INR 20,000 or the stipulated percentage — whichever is higher.

These KCET-based Merit Scholarships apply to students admitted under University Quota or any other approved quota. Students admitted directly through KCET into the Karnataka State Quota pay government-regulated fees and are generally not eligible under this scheme.

REVAite: Stipulated % or INR 20,000, whichever is higher. For JEE Main/CUET, the percentile refers to the NTA Percentile Score. For NATA, it refers to total marks out of 200. For CLAT, it refers to the score out of 150. For PGCET/CAT/MAT/XAT/KMAT/CUET(PG), it refers to percentile. Merit Scholarship continuation in subsequent years requires the same conditions as RISE: minimum 90% attendance and 9.0 SGPA/CGPA without backlogs.

REVA University Sports Scholarships are available only for sports recognised under the Indian Olympic Association and AIU University Games. The scholarship offers a 30% to 100% tuition fee waiver based on the level of participation and achievement. Approval from the REVA University Sports Department is mandatory before the scholarship is credited.

Sports Scholarship Important Conditions

• Applicable to sports included under the Indian Olympics Association and AIU University Games only
• The student must be under 25 years of age at the time of admission
• Sport/game-wise seats may be allocated — scholarship is subject to seat availability in that specific sport
• Scholarship is applicable for 1st Year only at the time of initial grant
• Continuation in 2nd Year onwards requires Sports Department confirmation based on performance in university sports tournaments
• Sports scholarships may not be available for all programmes — verify availability for your specific course with the admissions office
• A Trial-Based Scholarship Scheme is also available: after taking admission, students can apply via the login portal to appear for a university trial and win a sports scholarship even if they didn't initially qualify

REVA University awards NCC Scholarships to students with NCC certificates or participation records at TSC, RDC, or YEP levels. The scholarship ranges from 10% to 20% of the annual tuition fee and is subject to prior approval by the Associate NCC Officer (ANO) of REVA University.

NCC Scholarship Important Conditions

• The NCC Scholarship is applicable for 1st Year only at the time of initial award
• Continuation in subsequent years requires the student's active participation in NCC at REVA University and formal confirmation from the ANO (Associate NCC Officer)
• The ANO's approval is mandatory before the scholarship is processed — it is not automatically awarded on submission of the NCC certificate
• The NCC certificate must be valid and issued by a recognised authority. Scanned copy acceptable at application; original required at document verification

REVA University offers scholarships to wards of Defence, Paramilitary, and Police personnel. The scholarship percentage varies by service category and the nature of sacrifice or honour. Wards of martyrs receive the highest tuition fee waiver of 50% under both Defence/Paramilitary and Police categories. The scholarship is applicable for the full duration of the programme.

Defence / Paramilitary / Police Scholarship Important Conditions

• Applicable for the entire duration of the programme, not just 1st Year
• A valid certificate issued by the recognised competent authority (e.g., Ministry of Defence, State Police HQ) is mandatory
• The required certificate must be submitted at the time of admission. Conditional approval without certificate submission is not available.
• In case the certificate is issued in a language other than English/Kannada, an attested English translation is required

REVA University awards a 25% tuition fee waiver to specially abled (differently abled) students. This scholarship is applicable for the entire duration of the programme, subject to submission of a valid disability certificate issued by a recognised competent authority.

• The disability certificate must be issued by a recognised competent authority (e.g., District Medical Board, Government Hospital)
• Minimum disability percentage as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD)
• The certificate must be submitted at the time of admission and renewed/resubmitted if it has an expiry date
• This scholarship is one of the most secure scholarships at REVA University, as it is valid for the full programme duration and does not require annual SGPA or attendance conditions for continuation.

REVA University offers a 25% tuition fee waiver for children of its permanent staff. It also offers a 10% to 15% waiver for siblings of currently enrolled or newly admitted students. Staff children scholarships are available for the full programme duration, while sibling scholarships apply only to the first year.

Staff Children & Sibling Scholarship Conditions

• Staff Children: Employee ID, employment details, and relationship proof must be submitted at the time of admission.
• Sibling Scholarship: The SRN (Student Registration Number) of the currently enrolled sibling must be submitted at the time of application or admission.
• Concurrent Sibling Admission: If siblings are admitted in the same academic year, a parent undertaking must be submitted at the time of admission.
• Sibling Scholarship: The scholarship is applicable only for the first year. It does not continue into Year 2 or later years, regardless of academic performance.
• Staff Children Scholarship: The scholarship is applicable for all years, subject to the continued employment of the staff member at REVA University.

REVA University offers a Referral Scholarship to students referred for admission by an existing REVA University employee, alumni, or student. The scholarship provides a 5% to 10% tuition fee waiver and is applicable only for 1st Year. The referrer’s ID and relevant details must be submitted at the time of admission.

Note: Only one referral source can be claimed per student. If more than one referral is applicable, the highest applicable scholarship will be awarded. Referral scholarships are valid only for Year 1 and are not renewable for Year 2 or later years.

In addition to REVA University’s internal scholarships, enrolled students can also apply for government scholarship schemes. These are external schemes, and REVA University is not the disbursing authority. Students must apply independently through the respective government portals.

Note: The NSP application window usually opens in August–September every year, while Karnataka KAREPASS applications are accepted throughout the year. AICTE Pragati and Saksham scholarship applications open annually, and students should check the AICTE website for the 2026–27 schedule. Students must apply for these government scholarships independently through the respective portals. REVA University’s admissions office may assist with supporting documents, if required.

REVA University scholarships are processed during admission and are not usually applied for separately after enrolment. Students must select the eligible scholarship category and submit all required documents during the admission process, preferably before the SRN is generated.

Step 1: Apply Online
Complete the admission application through the REVA University online admission portal.

Step 2: Pay Application Fee
Pay the application fee of INR 1,000.

Step 3: Submit Exam Score
Appear for REVA CET for the RISE Scholarship or submit a valid national/state-level entrance exam score for the Merit Scholarship.

Step 4: Select Scholarship Category
Choose the applicable scholarship category in the application form.

Step 5: Upload Supporting Documents
Upload relevant documents such as entrance exam scorecard, sports certificate, NCC certificate, staff/sibling proof, or other applicable certificates.

Step 6: Attend Counselling and Verification
Participate in counselling or seat allotment and carry original documents for verification.

Step 7: Get Scholarship Approval
The scholarship percentage is confirmed after verification and adjusted against the tuition fee during fee payment.

Step 8: Complete Additional Approval, If Required
Sports Scholarship applicants must apply separately through the login portal under the REVA Trial-Based Scholarship Scheme. NCC Scholarship applicants require approval from the Associate NCC Officer of REVA University.

Step 9: Pay Fee and Save Receipt
Pay the balance fee after scholarship adjustment and download the fee receipt showing the scholarship amount.

Note: Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to approved category limits. Eligible students should apply early, as late applicants may miss the scholarship once the limit is reached.
