In this changing world order and a globalised environment, Economics is emerging as a crucial 'science', the understanding of which is rooted in the Humanities, the application of which is based on Quantitative Methods and the impact of which is all pervasive whether it be International Relations and Politics, Finance, Management or Business. It is the recognition of these inter –linkages, which has led NMIMS, in its pioneering role, to set up the Sarla Anil Modi School of Economics and to introduce the innovative undergraduate B.Sc. (Economics) program. The program, with its innovative pedagogy, contemporary curriculum incorporating the latest developments in Economics, along with the enhancement of soft skills and a blend of theory with practice, seeks to provide holistic education. The B.Sc. (Economics) program is designed by a team of experts coming from both the academia and industry.

Sarla Anil Modi School of Economics Placements
The NMIMS Deemed to be University (as per UGC Norms) hostel facility includes two full fledged hostels and three rented residential accommodations (taken care of by the University itself) in Mumbai, separately for boys and girls. The students admitted (on first come first serve basis; preference is given to students from outside of Mumbai to the hostel are entitled to stay in the hostel during the academic session only and are required to vacate the rooms during the summer vacations for maintenance work. Students are provided with all necessary facilities in the hostel along with some value added services. Hostel application form is available at our website. Hostel fee may change each year. Students are required to submit the hostel application form and hostel fee along with all necessary documents. Hostel allotment list is provided on our website 3 days before the start of classes.
