List of CUET 2025 subjects for BSc Physics consists primarily of language (Sections IA and IB), domain-specific, and general examination subjects. If you want to apply for a BSc in Physics through CUET 2025, you must choose two additional subjects that are related to the field of study. You can combine one language (most likely English) with any two of the following: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Applied Mathematics.

Common CUET Subjects for BSc Physics

When completing the CUET application form, you must choose subjects from section I, which is the Language subject section.

  1. Section IA and Section IB Language Subjects

In these sections, you will need to choose one or two languages. CUET generally provides the following languages:

  • English
  • Hindi
  • Sanskrit
  • Urdu
  • Regional languages (e.g., Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, etc.)

Following that, you will need to select your domain-specific subject.

  1. Domain-Specific Subjects (Section II)

Physics will be the key subject of the domain-specific course for CUET 2025 students pursuing a BSc in Physics. However, there are various combinations of Domain-Specific Subjects that can be selected for BSc Physics through CUET.

Other additional CUET subjects for BSc Physics include the following:

BSc Physics CUET Eligibility Criteria & Subjects Combinations

To be eligible for a BSc Physics through CUET, you generally have to meet the following criteria:

  • You must have completed Class 12 with a recognised board.
  • You must have taken Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects.
  • For the General category, you must have got 50% aggregate marks in Class 12, whereas the Reserved category requires 45% aggregate marks in Class 12.

Also, you must register for the CUET in any of the following subject combinations:

  • Physics + Chemistry + Mathematics/Applied Mathematics with any one of the above mentioned language subjects.
  • You must have scored at least 30% in any one language from List A on the CUET.

Note: Merit will be determined by the CUET scores obtained from the aforementioned combination of subjects.
