August 28, 2025GATE 2026 registration is now open at gate2026.iitg.ac.in for admission to M.Tech and research programs. Candidates can submit their applications without a late fee until September 28, 2025, while the deadline with a late fee is October 9, 2025. The examination is scheduled to be conducted on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026, in two sessions.
August 25, 2025The GATE 2026 registration has been postponed to August 28, 2025. Regular applications close on September 28, with late submissions accepted until October 9. Exams will be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, and results on March 19.
August 06, 2025The GATE 2026 schedule is now available on gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Registration for GATE 2026 will begin on August 25 and will close on September 25 without a late fee, and on October 6 with a late fee. The exam is scheduled for February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. The results will be announced on March 19, 2026.

SSIET B.Tech Admission
A candidate will be eligible for admission to B.Tech. on the basis of CET merit, if he/she fulfills the following conditions:- a) He/she has passed the 10+2/Diploma or its equivalent examination conducted by a recognised Board/University/Council. The eligibility for engineering courses are as under:- All those candidates who have passed 10+2 examination and with pass in Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of the following optional subjects i.e. Chemistry/Biology/ Biotechnology/Computer Science. OR Those candidates who have passed diploma in any Engineering Trade from Punjab State Board of Technical Education, Chandigarh or Diploma/Certificate course from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology, Longowal (District Sangrur) or such Examination from any other recognised State Board of Technical Education.
SSIET M.Tech Admission
Candidate should have B.Tech or B.E. in any branch with minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
